Hello
I have this new firmware (v3.0.0.116_20103100) on one of my cameras for testing, but I can't find "Configuration - Export/Import" in web interface.
This option will be available later?
Thanks -
Sorry that the import config files function has been removed last year. The older exported config files may not be compatible with our new desktop software and if users import the previous exported config files into the new desktop software, the software may crash. That's why you cannot find the import camera settings function after the update. Hope this clarifies.
We will keep releasing new cameras with new functions, for example, the coming IP cameras with AI smart motion detection. To enable AI smart detection, new hardware is required. So, the AI cameras will come with newer hardware compared to current IP cameras. If you want the same setup on the AI cameras and try to import the previous config files from the non-AI cameras, compatibility issues may have happened.
We have been receiving reports from our users that they have encountered compatibility issues when exporting and importing config files between cameras with newer and older hardware version. That's why we remove this function temporarily and work on these issues since then. We will relaunch this function later when we find solutions to eliminate the compatibility issues.Reply QuoteShare-1- Share this Post

@cynthia_124785627824270 Any update on this issue?
Can Reolink just add a disclaimer that users should not import configurations from a different camera model? I think it's fairly obvious that different cameras will have different options and compatibility requirements. I hate to see a very useful feature removed due to the ignorance of a subset of users. Without config import/export, setting up cameras is a very time consuming process.
I upgraded one of my cameras before knowing this feature had been removed. There is no link to download older firmware versions, so now I'm stuck with this missing feature. -

+1, this is really not a good idea to remove this feature.
I used to save my current configuration before making changes to be able to roll back, and now all I can do is take screenshots
At least, make it possible through API

+1 Still no news on this feature please ?Will this be re-instated in a near future ? It is such a necessary feature when having many cameras.
