I currently have a Reolink Wifi Doorbell - I have issues currently with a 2nd mobile accessing the live stream & recoreded footage when on mobile date. If connected to wifi its fine. My mobile connects to live stream fine on mobile network. So a bit of a weird one.
I am wondering if I purchased a NVR to record the live footage and take out the SD card would this solve my issue? Does the android mobile app access the NVR recorded footage or does the app only pull the footage from the SD card.
Thanks in advanceReply QuoteShare0- Share this Post

@james-jenner_683177101791235 What is the smartphone through which you cannot access the camera? Did you try to swap SIMs?
In case of the NVR, the videos are stored in the NVR too. If you log onto the NVR then you shall watch the ones stored on it. However, I will try to fix the smartphone issue before I proceed to purchase an NVR and additional cameras. -
@joseph_1979 Hi Joseph.
Its my partners mobile, so swapping the sim cards is not really something I want to mess about with. She has 5G as I have checked.
I have so far, uninstalled the Reolink app and reinstalled.
Ive changed App Permissions to Allow Camera, location, microphone, notifications, photos & phone.
I have allowed background data usage
I have allowed data usuage while data saver is on (she doesnt use data saver but ive switched this on just in case)
Ive selected 'Unrestricted' on Battery so it runs without battery restrictions.
Ive made sure that 'data & wifi' are both allowed under 'Allowed network for apps setting.
She is at work today, so fingers crossed it works, if not ill report back.
She uses'Modes & Routines' I have checked it, and all it doe is during work hours put her phone into silent mode. It doesnt cange battery or network settings. So im a bit at a loss to why its not working on her phone.
Reolink NVR advise please
