Attached screenshot shows me trying to install the v7.2.2.33-x64 client, but it installs a 32 bit version instead. Confirmed with tlist that the installed client is 32bit and running through syswow64.Does the installer zip have the wrong installer or is there something else going on here like detecting past versions or something?Thanks!Reolink1png.png
You are correct. It runs as 32 bit. What do you say, Reolink? Why publish a "64 bit client" that runs as 32 bit?I have also published a bunch of suggestions for improving the client functions..it feels like Windows 3.1 <shrug>Capture.png
Found this post when trying to find an answer to the same question.
Yeah, I guess the answer is, the 64 bit client ISN'T. Both versions are really 32 bit.
Hi, why do you think it's running 32-bit?The installation directory could be changed as you wish, it doesn't mean that the Client is running 32-bit.If you want to verify that, you may try to install the 64-bit version on the 32-bit version Windows system to see if it can be installed. The 32-bit system can install 32-bit software only, while the 64-bit system can install both 32-bit system and 64-bit software.
I don't know, Cynthia.. call me crazy I guess. When I install the "64 bit client" it is REPORTED as running 32 bit. Maybe you should have a discussion with Microsoft. <shrug>Markyeahsure.png
Sorry for the inconvenience. Regarding this issue, could you please submit a request to support@reolink.com?
I did.. and they pointed me to an "updated" 32 bit version - no 64 bit version at all. And it does not work on my VM. It just begins loading and stops at a black screen. I sent a reply back to the support person. I installed it on a brand new VM copy of Windows 10 Pro. <shrug>I am trying it (after a warning it might not be a safe installer), on my desktop instead. I will write a review after I have gotten it working and played with it a little. I don't really mind a 32 bit version but when you say 64 bit, I think that is what people expect.
I logged this months ago with reolink support but they failed to understand the difference between 32bit and 64bit. please check case 263755in the end i gave up. there is no 64bit client
