I now have the E1 Outdoor Pro, E1 Zoom & Trackmix. Has anyone noticed that none of these cameras have 3x optical zoom advertised? This was actually evident going off the viewing angles on the website as it's no where close, the E1 Outdoor Pro has about 1.8x zoom similar to the E1 Outdoor camera. The Trackmix is close and has approx. 2.75x zoom going off the viewing angles which matches the f=2.8mm to 8mm nearly identically.
Is there a reason why these cameras were advertised as 3x optical zoom but have such a small zoom compared to the Trackmix? I noticed this when comparing the maximum zoom photo vs the full wide frame photo. -
I just looked at my E1 Outdoor Wi-Fi and my E1 Outdoor PoE and... well I don't know how you determined "1.8x" vs the 3x advertised. What is the math involved, or do you aim them at some sort of chart, or... what???

@myreolink_533265780207845 I compared the physical photos taken from both the Trackmix and the E1 Outdoor Pro. However, if you want to talk maths, just go off the field of views angles shown on the reolink website under the specifications page. I like how transparent they are with the specs and show absolutely everything including the sensor size.
The E1 Outdoor Pro's field of view is Horizontal: 94° ~ 50° &, 94/50 = 1.88x zoom. The Trackmix's field of view is Horizontal: 104°-38°, 104/38 = 2.74x zoom. -
@michqian_709966285914469 Zoom ratio only relates to the difference between the shortest and longest focal lengths. So in case of the E1 OD, from the specs we see that 'f=2.8 - 8mm F=1.6' so the zoom ratio is Ceiling(8/2.8) = 3.
E1 Outdoor Cameras Much Less than 3x Zoom
