I've done a quick search on this topic but have been unable to find a solution.
I am unable to get the Reolink POE Doorbell to pair with the included Chime.
The Doorbell itself seems to be working correctly. It connected to my existing Reolink NVR and is transmitting live feed as expected.
I have tried all the usual things:- Power cycled the doorbell and chime
- Tried the chime in various power sockets throughout the house. - One is literally 2 metres from the front door with nil obstructions in the way.
- Tried resetting the chime by holding volume button whilst plugging in - I hear the expected beeps indicating the unit has reset however no change.
- Checked that the volume on the chime was turned up and not muted.
I think I'm out of things to try at my end. Can anyone confirm how the Doorbell communicates to the Chime? Is it via WiFi or some RF link?
If via WiFi does it use the existing WiFi system or it's own network? And if it's own network is it 2.4GHz or 5GHz?
Thanks. -
I'm in the same boat - recently purchased Reolink Video Doorbell PoE - I've followed the pairing procedure and nothing works.

Same issue here, just came in today, WiFi Doorbell, and can't get the chime to connect to the doorbell. I've reset everything, went through all the steps for the chime also. Reset several times and tried to pair with no luck. Any suggestions? Besides the Chime troubleshooting link.

@c0nfick3r_781404561744056 Try to be nearer to the doorbell first and then move it to the location. It uses RF 433MHz signal between doorbell and chime. Initially I did had an issue as there were two concrete walls and so had to relocate the chime.

@joseph_1979 I have the chime right on the other side of the wall it's installed on. Maybe about 10 ft away, with only 1 wooden wall between the two. I even used an extension cord to get it right next to the doorbell. Still no luck.

Same issue here - Reolink shipped a second doorbell + chime pair, and same issue ...
I don't know what to do, I'm considering throwing all my Reolink stuff and going for another vendorReply QuoteShare0- Share this Post

@user_792631043424507_792631043424507 I had no problem to pair it. Just follow this procedure.
- 1. Plug the chime into the power socket.
- 2. Press and hold the Settings button for 5 seconds until the chime makes a short beep sound and its blue status light is on. Then release the button. Now the doorbell camera and the chime are in pairing mode.
- 3. Press the doorbell. If the chime's blue status light flashes twice and the chime beeps twice, it means the chime is successfully paired.
- 4. Now press the doorbell, and the chime shall sound.

@joseph_1979 The instructions are missing a step. After holding the chime switch for a few seconds and it beeps, if it does not pair, hold the upper switch for a few seconds until it beeps a few more times. Wait a few seconds and you should see it show up in the Reolink app as available to pair.
