I have problems with my RLC-510W cameras reconnecting after a power and internet outage. I have to go to the cameras with a cable and plug it in to make a connection and instruct the camera again which wifi network it should connect to. Please test your cameras with a power loss to the camera and DSL router at the same time, and then the internet returning about three miniutes after the router restarts. A common problem in rural areas like here is that the power goes off for just a second and comes back on. It causes everything to restart including modems but the internet doesn't come back for about three minutes after the router and wifi restart. What is the problem with your cameras that they can't connect to the last network they were connected to? This has happened multiple times. I have other brands of cameras and I've never had to connect to them with a cable and tell them a second time which wifi network to use. They have had many, many power and internet outages and they always reconnect to the wifi without a problem. I don't believe your cameras are always trying to reconnect to the last wifi network they used.
If the phone app can tell me with a pop-up on the screen which camera saw motion, why can't it give me a different notification sound for each camera? I would like to know just by the sound that a car has entered my driveway separately from cameras I have at other locations.
@reolink-fiona That worked. Thank you.
@email_525317533946102 I think I may have fixed this problem by renaming the 5Ghz network so the camera can't connect to it. Both networks had the same names before.
A windscreen. It's a problem anytime it's blowing.
@613yechiyah_447045985546485 I would reinstall the firmware regardless if it's a newer version or not. Also, don't rely on the firmware version check where you click/tap a [censored]on. Go to the web page for the camera's firmware and check the newest version number compared to your camera's version. Mine didn't see an update when I clicked but there was newer firmware at their site. I haven't had the problem you have but your firmware could be corrupted. Is it possible that someone else has access to that camera and they're doing it on purpose? Have you tried changing your password?
These pictures are a truck leaving my driveway today but it didn't record or alert me when the truck arrived a few minutes earlier. The sensitivity is set at 50 and the alarm setting for a vehicle is set at 98, and the delay is set at 1 sec. I don't use object size. How can it miss something that big? This is very discouraging. I bought this camera because driveway alarms are not reliable and I thought a camera would always catch movement. Why did this fail to record or alarm?
I complained to them about those brackets. They never hold the cameras tight. I wish they would go back to two set screws. You might be able to take the camera apart just far enough to get to the board and unplug the connectors inside and feed the small connectors through the bracket. It's not likely that the wires are hard wired to the board.
I have an E1 that sometimes won't turn left or right. I have to get a ladder out to turn it by hand, and after I move it like that just a little, it works remotely but the problem has come back at least two times. It doesn't feel like there's a point where it sticks so I don't know what the problem is. Most of the problems I've had with your cameras require using a ladder and sometimes having to drive to a remote location with the ladder. It's the worst part about dealing with your cameras' problems.
I have the windows app always on and displayed on a monitor in my home but occasionally one of my three wifi cameras loses connection temporarily so the video freezes of course and there's a play [censored]on in the middle of the screen. The bigger problem for me is that clicking the Play [censored]on doesn't make the video resume. I always have to close and re-open the program to make the video come back. When this happens, it always shows that the camera was connected when I was clicking Play. Could something be changed or tweaked in the program to resume play without closing the program?
Thank you.
Are there any solar/battery Reolink cameras that prerecord like an electric camera does? I've had the solar models and they miss a lot of action that moves through the area too fast so they miss it. Lots of recordings with nothing there or the tail end of something.
On PTZ cameras, there's too many clicks and actions involved just to turn the camera temporarily and then back Home. Please add two preset shortcuts to the pop up menu at the bottom of each camera screen or somewhere else on the screen so I can click just once and change the direction, and then just one click again to turn it back Home.Please add a way to escape a full screen view with the mouse. For people who have a keyboard that slides under a desk, it's a burden to pull a chair out of the way and then pull the keyboard all the way out just to reach the ESC key one time.
I have an omni-directional outdoor access point and a camera at the end of my driveway about 400 ft. away. The camera is connected to a flat panel directional antenna and the signal is strong.
Thanks, I think that worked.
I have two RLC-810WA cameras and I noticed that the spotlights come on during the day on one camera when there's movement in front of the camera. Both cameras are set to Smart Night Mode.
When I open this newest client, my two cameras that previously connected and came on within a few seconds with the previous version now say Not Connected for about 10-15 seconds, then Failed, then Connecting, and then they connect and the video comes on. It's always the same pattern when I open this version of the client. Not Connected for a while, then Failed for a while, then Connecting, and then Connected. From the time the client opens on my screen until the time the video appears now takes about 25 seconds. This never happened with the previous version. It was probably 10 seconds or less. I have Windows 10.
I just installed the new client and the [censored]on to download high resolution video at the lower right is gone. My recorded videos are only 1 or 2 megabytes. How do I download the full resolution videos? Why was this changed?
