Hello, here is my review of the Reolink TrackMix PoE camera:Apparence :Its size makes the camera rather discreet compared to other models. The fixing of the camera is however made of plastic whereas on the RLC-823A it was made of aluminum, which is less qualitative.Two-way audio:Its two-way audio allows you to listen and speak to anyone in range of the camera, however there may be a small lag if you are outside your home network.Alarm :The camera has an alarm that activates automatically upon detection or you can activate it manually if you wish. This is not too strong but still allows to warn the close neighborhood especially at night.Infrared Night Vision:The TrackMix has two infrared LEDs that allow it to see up to more or less 15m at night.
Hello Fiona, I hope you are doing well. The new forum interface is really pretty
@reolink-fiona I have the Reolink rlc-823a camera and I have the interval delay option to enable. However, here is an example of the problem I am having:In the Reolink app, I set the push notification delay to 120 seconds. It is 9:00 am, a vehicle arrives in my driveway and a person gets out of the vehicle. at 9:00 am and 5 seconds I receive a notification that a car has been detected, then at 9:02 am I receive a new notification to tell me that a person has been detected at 9:00 am...So it's completely ridiculous to receive two notifications for the same detection timecode. It would be easier to have only one push notification for the same detection timecode and put a delay of your choice during the moment when the camera should not send a notification again. And after this time, if there is a new detection, then the camera sends a new push notification.Because the camera currently sends a notification separately for each category for the same timecode, so if there is a car coming and a person gets off with an animal, then I receive 3 notifications for the same detection. 1 instant notification for the car, 2 minutes later for the detected person and 2 minutes later for the animal which has also been detected. It's really tiring in the end, instead of making a single notification that encompasses all three categories (animals, people, vehicles)
The Reolink doorbell is equipped with a 1080p HD camera, PoE connectivity, and advanced features such as motion detection and two-way intercom. The doorbell is easy to install and use thanks to its intuitive web and mobile application. Appearance: Two-Way Audio:The doorbell is equipped with a speaker and microphone for clear two-way audio communication, allowing you to converse with the person at the door. Infrared:The doorbell is equipped with infrared lights for night vision up to +/- 10 meters. Alert, FTP, Email:You can configure the doorbell to send you a notification from the application when a person is detected or when someone presses the doorbell. You can also receive an email. You can also set up FTP to record videos on a remote server. Detection:The doorbell features human detection to detect suspicious movements and instantly alert you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3rYod6IZMoApp:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTghOV3BXQoConclusion:After several months of use, I find that the doorbell is an excellent solution. It offers good video quality, night vision, human detection, and easy installation thanks to PoE power supply. The two-way audio is also an important asset as it allows easy communication with visitors. Overall, if you are willing to invest in a quality doorbell for your home, Reolink's PoE doorbell is an excellent choice.
And the camera does not return to its point of guard....
@alvaro2 Yes, a camera embedded in our cars would be a good idea, to have proof in the event of an accident or if a person touches our vehicle while it is parked in a parking lot.
It's so tiring to receive push notifications for the same detection simply because the camera monitors if it detects a vehicle or a person. It would be easier to send a single push notification when detecting multiple categories (people, vehicles) occurring in a close interval of each other.Because currently my camera detects vehicles and people in my driveway. When a car arrives I get a push notification, and when the person gets out of their car, I get another push notification telling me there is a person... So my phone rings twice in 20 seconds for the same thing and in the end it is tiring.Let us choose to receive only one push notification for the same detection period that we have defined (30,60,120 seconds) to avoid push notification spam.
For my part it does not change anything, the camera does not turn fast enough to follow a person who walks towards the camera and passes below. The camera can't keep up.
@jedi2020_32727772450952 It's not the same price between a Dashcam and a Tesla
@john_56093788144 Yes I have exactly the same problem, I no longer have any pre-installed sound...
@reolink-daisy Personally I am looking forward to a 4K PTZ camera with zoom in PoE and with ColorX. So a trackmix with ColorX

@rob_530137440497875 Indeed, the detection algorithm is very poor at night. I either get false alerts or it fails to detect a vehicle entering my driveway at night. I have been discussing this issue with support for a year now, but there has been no improvement. I am considering switching to a different camera brand if this continues because, in the end, it's not very effective at night, especially considering the price of the cameras.
@christian-brandoni_694834290954619 I have the same problem with my Trackmix PoE. During the day, it detects vehicles and people coming from a distance very well. However, at night, it hardly detects anything at all. I tried setting it to the most sensitive options at night, but it didn't detect a vehicle entering my driveway or a person getting out of a car. However, it detects a spider as if it were a human. There is a significant improvement needed in night detection.
Cordialement, Philippe
@reolink-fiona After trying out several models, I fell in love with the Trackmix PoE camera. Its automatic tracking is more efficient than other models, and the automatic zoom feature is truly intriguing. Furthermore, the camera's movement is quieter than that of the RLC-823A.
@dgordon42_415060065599711 Hi,Having the phone ring like during a phone call would indeed be welcome. However, so far, I have always had time to get in touch with the person who rang. But I know there is a big problem with Reolink application notifications on Android phones, which tend to put the application to sleep, even if it is protected against battery saving. It is really a big issue that should be improved so that phones do not put the application to sleep.
Welcome Back!
