I would like the option to trigger a motion event when the camera detects significant lighting changes, such as when a floodlight turns on.If I could tell the camera to behave this way, then even if the camera's own motion sensor hasn't detected motion (for example, walking straight toward the camera), if the floodlight is triggered, the camera would be triggered too.This idea is similar to the daisy chain idea, but I think it is much more simple. It should work with any motion sensor flood light.
from the question earlier: https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/900000771583-Can-I-Connect-a-Keyboard-to-NVRThough we can use the software keyboard, it's terribly slow. Please add keyboard support.
@reolink-fiona Great!This would be especially useful for wifi cameras that don't react right away. I can imagine setting up a second sensor around a corner, or at the end of my driveway, etc., that would ping the camera to turn on before the subject reached the camera's main sensor, so you don't miss the event.
@reolink-fiona +1 for POE version.
Pictures in push notifications are supported by both Android and Apple (iOS 10). This would be very helpful.https://developer.android .com/reference/android/app/Notification.BigPictureStyle https://developer.apple .com/videos/play/wwdc2017/817/https://developer.apple .com/notifications/
I would like to be able to link two or more cameras together so that if any of them detected motion, they would all start recording.A further upgrade to this feature would be for Reolink to release some stand-alone motion sensors that can expand the range and improve the quality of motion detection. Here's an example by Swann: https://us.swann .com/swifi-motion/ (I broke the link with a space after swann)If Reolink had this kind of daisy-chaining and a stand alone sensor that could be chained to an existing camera, then our (especially wifi) cameras could potentially start recording earlier and not miss most or all of the subject if it moves past the camera too quickly.
