@kimchigun Happy wife, happy life something something hahaha. I did have to disable "Other" as well as "Vehicle" since turning up the PIR sensitivity.
@joseph_1979 I did not make any changes to the band preference setting up until I attempted to switch to 2.4 GHz. I do recall it listing 5 GHz not Auto when I opened the page in the app. Definitely a bug then as it should not matter what option is selected. If you switch the setting, the camera should switch.@Techgirl_849769519804666 what's up with the down vote on my comment above? @joseph_1979 that's how it SHOULD work, but it does not. With this camera (at least with mine), post-recording time starts as soon as motion is detected NOT after the motion stops. I can jump in front of the camera momentarily and it will recorded the full 30 seconds. My son can do a 3-minute Fortnite dance in middle of the FOV and it will fragment after 30-seconds with multiple video fragments to follow. I have tried this repeated times and the initial fragment is 8, 15, 30 seconds respectively. I am convinced that there is a firmware bug.

@kimchigun it’s 8° today however last week it was above freezing, 34 to 38° daily on average with sun and I wasn’t getting charging. Could simply be some quality consistency issues with whoever supplies the batteries. I know of a lot of batteries won’t charge below 40F. Maybe that’s what I am experiencing.
@reocam_448003255267488 If connecting to a DVR during initial setup, the DVR will assign the camera a password. The password setting is for stand-alone use of the camera.
@reolink_332252861841648 it does not appear to be a crack---too symmetrical. Likely just a cosmetic from the casting mold. It's a service access panel. I removed the screws from one of my cameras (RLC-1240A) and had to pry the plate off as it was also attached with adhesive. There is no reason to attempt removal yourself.
@chet_587162280353916 there has been debated discussion if connecting permanently to the USB-C will provide adequate power. The camera will still pull power from the battery, not the house power. House power will feed the battery, the battery will feed the camera.If you live in a cold climate, the battery will not charge resulting in the same issue you are facing with the solar panel. 3W panels are known not to provide adequate power if you have many daily event triggers. A 6W panel will perform better. This also assumes that you have the panel facing in the correct direction, obtaining 4-6 hours of direct sunlight per day.I am in SE Michigan. In the winter my Argus PT does not charge due to below 40F temps. About every 3-4 weeks I have to pull the camera down and bring it indoors to charge. This is going to be normal for any solar charged battery camera.
@joseph_1979 no, it is a battery/solar Argus PT Ultra with motion-tracking. Same one that @KimchiGUN has... we got them through the Reolink Trial program.
@joseph_1979 I am guessing that mine is beta camera as it seems like only the Reolink Trial participants have them.
@walders I am not aware that the battery door requires a Home Hub. I have a PoE doorbell and it does not. When you initially setup your doorbell as standalone on your own Wi-Fi network, what are the details that led to to contact support? Did you follow the correct steps in the Reolink app?Let's assume you need to use the Home Hub... If the Home Hub's Wi-Fi is not strong enough to reach your gate (you mentioned extender), you use your home's exiting Wi-Fi instead. To do do, setup your camera as a standalone first and then import it in to Home Hub. From there, you add the Home Hub to Google, not the individual camera.I can tell you that my experience with Google Home integration with these cameras is dismal. Whether I use standalone cameras or Home Hub Pro connected cameras, I get about 8 seconds of video latency to my Google display. It is useless to the point I have abandoned it. Reolink support has stated that the issue is with my connectivity to the Google servers and there is noting they can do to help me. The camera streams to the Reolink servers, then the Google servers stream it from Reolink, then to your Google display.
@lemue_73398283825307 if you are going to mount the Duo 2 in the same manner that you indicated above, I might suggest that you also look into a cover for the Duo 2. The body will have an exposed mounting screw hole on top that can be utilized to attached a visor of sorts. I only suggest this as it will help keep rain/snow/glare off the lenses for improved visibility.
