Thanks @reolink-fiona. Let me know if I can provide any more information that might help diagnose the problem.
Hi @reolink-fiona.As mentioned my initial post I'd already fixed the problem with the PIR being disabled so that wasn't not the problem.I've finally fixed my email problem by configuring the email settings in Windows client version 8.7.1. I then set the sensitivity to 100% for each of the cameras and confirmed that I received email alerts.Prior to this I tested sending email alerts using both Gmail and Yahoo in the Android app but it failed each time I tried. I'm fairly confident there's a problem with configuring emails from the Android app that you might want to investigate further (unless it's somehow specific to my installation).Interestingly when testing with Gmail in the Reolink Android app, even though the test email was sent successfully, the login wasn't appearing in Google's App Passwords interface. It was almost as if it was using some other credentials to send the email.Cheers, Chris
Hi @reolink-fiona.I've been thinking about this some more and I wonder whether the test emails work because they're being sent from the Reolink app, while the actual alert emails don't work because they're being sent from the camera?I've also just created a Yahoo email account and tried using that after Restoring the camera settings to their defaults. As soon as I enter the username/password I get a 400 error, and in this case the test emails don't work either.I'm wondering whether it's actually a firmware issue on the device rather than the Android app version problem. Are there any log files on the device that might give a clue as to why the emails aren't being sent?Cheers, Chris
Hi @reolink-fiona.I've tried 4.29.0.8 but the email functionality still isn't working.I'm using an app password for my Gmail account, and am receiving test emails from within the Reolink app, but don't receive any notification emails. Can you send me the link to software version 4.28 so I can check whether the email functionality works as expected in there, please?Cheers, Chris
Hi.I have 3 Reolink Go cameras (all firmware version v1.0.213.00) and usually receive at least one email alert a night from each camera. I noticed that I hadn't received an email for a few nights so started investigating. It turns out that the cameras hadn't recorded anything since 7 March. On checking the settings I noticed that, although PIR was on, the schedule had been removed and recording video had been disabled. Others have reported similar problems on this forum so I'm assuming that my app updated on 7 March and that caused the settings to reset.I used the app's Advanced > Restore function to restore the settings of each of the cameras, removed them from the app, uninstalled and reinstalled the app and finally set the cameras up again. I'm now getting push notifications and video is being recorded again, but the email notifications aren't working. I'm using the same Gmail account that I've been using successfully for years. When I configure the email settings the app immediately pops up with a 400 error. I receive the test emails but no notification emails from camera alerts. Is there anything else I can try or should I downgrade to 4.28 as has been suggested elsewhere?Cheers, Chris
