I am curious why most companies want to be so vague when it comes to firmware updates?"Optimize related network protocols and some known bugs" These devices are not just a $10 item picked up for fun... They are security camera's designed to keep property safe.Would it not be better to outline exactly what was updated so that people are more informed? I personally would like to know what bugs were corrected as people may not have been aware that the device they chose to keep their home protected had an issue with a specific feature or a bug were it would just not record for an unknown reason. The only other thing I find with this latest description is that they "optimized network protocols (cool) i appreciate that but why put "and some known bugs". this indicates that they are optimizing the bugs and not correcting them. just a little confusing. why optimize a bug? to make it more effective at being a problem?
I have been waiting for this feature for well over a year now... i have had to use e-mail notifications just to get a screenshot sent to me... even my old cheap as &$#* ezviz camera sent a snapshot with push notification.
@nickburt218 I have the same issue. I have found that if you open an individual stream then go back to the multi view the cameras are in sync again. You can also close the client and Re open but it is faster to just go switch back and forth.
I currently have 3x RLC-842A camera's. I have them recording 24/7 both to the SD card in the camera's as well as backing up to my offsite location.my issue that i am running into is if you set the app to record 24/7 in the schedule it does not allow for alerts to take a screenshot. it literally takes a screenshot for every knew video entry. Now i understand why it does this. I am just wondering if you can separate the screenshot aspect of the recordings to be based off alert triggers? It is quite tedious to go through video footage vs just flipping through some screenshots when an alert is detected.
This is a really nice feature and have been using it since it launched... Just wondering if this will be coming to the desktop client? Also will it be possible to have the function to not highlight stationary objects like parked cars. maybe a selection to highlight moving vehicles only but keep tracking moving / stationary pets / people?
