@djm_936913697951920 I'd also add the desktop app to that list. on my NVR I get an nice overview, but not on my mobile or desktop apps. I second the vote for a summarized view over all cameras.
@chopstix Thanks for the explanation. I found this support article:https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/30167512591257-Introduction-to-Smart-Surveillance-Analytics/#:~:text=Step%201:%20Accessing%20the%20Feature,Step%203:%20Filtering%20Alarm%20EventsUnfortunately, it's not (yet) available for NVRs:
You can use Smart Surveillance Analytics via the Reolink App or Reolink Client for the Reolink Home Hub series, but for Reolink NVRs, the function is only available through monitors connected to the NVR.
I'd like to have my devices only accessible trough my VPN (e.g. Tailscale) and it would be super helpful to have them directly available as nodes in the VPN.Can you add support for direct to NVR / HomeHub or even Camera VPN connectivity? It shouldn't add much load on the device and would significantly increase my privacy.
if there is interest I can work out more derails and suggestions for naming products clearly. Looking at the security camera market, this would be a huge difference to other brands. While researching for my purchase, I found that all brands seem to lack an easy to follow naming scheme or there was a lack of explanation and filtering options on the websites.I sure that many people would appreciate filters for PoE, Ethernet, WiFi, Battery powered and so on.
Dear ReolinkI would appreciate if you could start to have a clear product naming strategy. Especially with your hardware revisions.I just bought a E1 Pro (which in the online shop was the newest with a V2 appendix) and had to realize that it's an older version of the hardware that does not support HTTP/HTTPS.I also found older versions of your products, that since seem to have been renamed (e.g. E330, E320). It's really confusing for us customers, especially if the features vary so much from version to version. Please just add a Generation Number oder Version Number to each product/hardware revision and provide a comprehensive overview on your website on what features are available in which version (or have separate product pages).Additionally, it would be helpful to have explanations of the differences between the standalone models and the bundled ones. E.g. for the 1200XX cameras bundled with the NVR, it's almost impossible to compare them against the standalone cameras.
@chopstix where would this be located? I have a RLN8-410 listed and basically see directly all cameras that are active. I can't select the NVR itself as an object. If I navigate to the settings of it, I don't see an Event History option.I do see the event history / recordings when I select the Playback option.
@chopstix I don't have it in the apps even though this is available on the NVR itself.
@joseph_1979 shouldn't be an issue. I think it could also be acceptable to just have this on HomeHubs and NVRs.
@joseph_1979 you no longer need to deal with complex server and client setups. Modern VPN solutions are based on WireGurad and are Peer to Peer. Services like Tailscale then add some discovery on top. Overall this is super user friendly and very simple to setup. It also has very little impact on CPU usage, as it very optimized.
