the Solar Panel (SP) 1 (3W) can't keep the Duo charged (dies after 3-4 weeks). Perhaps too much activity is killing it...and limited sun due to trees). I was going to replace the 3W Solar Panel with the new 6W solar Panel 2. But since I will have the two solar panels, I can buy a micro usb splitter and connect both the 3W (SP1) and 6W (SP2) to the camera. The voltage will be the same (~6V) but I will have more current (~1.5A) and thus more Watts (9W theoretically).Q1: Anyone else have issues with keeping DUO charged with SP1?Q2: Any reason why connecting two solar panels to one camera (with USB splitter) would NOT work?ThanksPaul
Connecting two solar panels, the 3W (SP1) and the new 6W (SP2), to the camera with a micro USB splitter should work in theory. Ensure the splitter is compatible with your camera and solar panels, and consider the camera's maximum input capacity
When someone presses the button on the doorbell, yes i receive a notification, but it isnt diferent from the other reolink notifications (or other apps for that matter), just the normal sound for a notification and the popup. With the RING doorbell if someone presses i actually get a Ringing phone call notification that sets it apart from other notifications.Do i have to have the Cloud Plan to have a different notification that i can actually diferentiate from the normal ones? The way the notifications are now, its really easy to miss if someone is at the door pressing the button. It has to be like a phonecall. If im away from home, with every notification i get (emails/social networks/messages) most likely I wont notice if someone is at the door because it just doesnt really alert in a very obvious way.my2cents
Hey, you might need to consider getting the Cloud Plan. The Cloud Plan could provide a ringing phone call notification similar to the RING doorbell, making it easier for you to differentiate from other notifications
