This Windows Client version freezes just like its previous versions. No matter which ones I've had in the last 2 years! It doesn't matter whether it's Windows 7, Windows 10 or Windows 11. It doesn't matter whether the operating system was freshly installed and newly installed, the software stops at different times. You have to stop them and look in the Windows Task Manager and also kill the running instances, otherwise you can't restart them!I have 5 external cameras running and 5 internal ones, so a total of 10 cameras. What the software also doesn't like when I switch off a camera, you don't always need all of them. The software then constantly searches for the camera, which also costs system resources. I also have the feeling that the client software then freezes even faster. (if all the cameras are running, there are 10 of them! (to save energy, not all of them are running all the time, I disconnect those where I don't always need them from the power supply) 8 cameras are running right now!)It honestly annoys me, I'm tired of waiting months for a new update and then it's always the same, the software freezes. And nobody comes to me with a new installation, that has nothing to do with it!!! I have it running on different computers and it happens on all windows operating systems. You can't set a time either, sometimes it only runs for 10 minutes, sometimes 2 hours, so that varies.I've also noticed that the client freezes faster when the computer is a little busier in the background.I have no idea, that's not my problem, I'm just a customer and I think before you constantly add any innovations to the badly programmed software, you should first make sure that the software is running stably, and you should also use a button to search for cameras that are already integrated in the client to switch off. The constant search for a switched off camera costs too many system resources.Greetings from Germany!
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 hello josephhello josephI am a Reolink buyer from Germany. I have 10 Reolink cameras in my possession, ranging from the 5MP E1 Zoom Wifi, RLC-410W to the 4K RLC-811A...I was still running Windows 7 on my more than 10-year-old high-end Intel PC, I always let the Reolink client run on the 2nd screen, but I reduced the window to watch TV at the same time. I've had the problem for a long, long time, since I've had several cameras running in the Reolink client at the same time, that the software freezes at some point, i.e. the camera videos stop, freeze. Sometimes I need the task manager to stop the 4 Reolink tasks. Sometimes I don't need it and it's enough to close the software. The fact is that I can wait for the software to freeze and have done so for many previous versions of the software! I thought it might be because of my old Windows 7, but now I know that it's not because of it. I have a new AMD computer that replaces my old Windows 7 PC. I have Windows 11 Enterprise on one SSD and Windows 10 Pro on another SSD. Depending on what I need, Windows 11 Enterprise or Windows 10 Pro is running. After all the drivers were in the windows I installed the Reolink client software, coincidentally it just released the new version 8 8 4 and what can I say? I have the same problems as before! After I (currently) added 8 cameras to the client, it just stopped after a while, as always, I only had still images. I have the stream on liquid, but it makes no difference. at some point the videos freeze. something is wrong with the software! I'm tired of waiting for a new client version after 1 1/2 years, when I still have the same problems with it! I seem to remember that when I only had 1 or 2 cameras in the software earlier, it didn't stop. But I am not sure! However, I have also noticed that the standstills occur more often when a camera that has already been inserted is disconnected from the power supply and is therefore not available, the client is constantly looking for the switched-off camera, which firstly costs system resources and secondly the other running cameras then catch up over time the bucking and the videos are running more and more asynchronously. (I don't feel like completely deleting an already added camera from the software, just so that the client doesn't keep looking for the switched off camera anymore) There should be a button/switch in the software for every camera so that you can do the constant looking for the camera can turn off! If I need the camera again at some point and connect it to the power supply, you could switch the camera on again with this button in the software In any case, I am of the opinion that this constant search for a camera that has already been inserted extremely slows down the process in the client itself after some time disturbs. and I also believe that the client has serious problems with it as soon as you operate many cameras over it. in any case, something is wrong with the software. and the problem already existed in the previous versions!sorry my english is not perfect, greetings from germany
@bbugaski_390328908112013 I wrote to you earlier that I have the same problems, but this does not only apply to this client version! Wrote to the reolink support about this 1 year ago, since then there has been no improvement after new updates. -maybe it's because of how many cameras you have connected? I seem to remember when I only had 2 cameras in the client over a year ago that it didn't stop/froze. But I am not sure.greetings from germany (sorry my english is not perfect)
@bbugaski_390328908112013 I've had your problem for many client versions before! I have to work a lot with my computer, I run the Reolink client software on the 2nd screen, I have reduced the main window a bit so that I also have space to watch TV. The client software from Reolink sometimes runs for 10 minutes, sometimes 30 or sometimes 4 hours at a time, which almost always happens that it stops at some point and, so to speak, no longer reacts properly and all camera videos are frozen. I usually have to kill the 4 running instances with the task manager, otherwise I can't start the software again. If I don't do that, the software won't restart. It really didn't matter which Windows version I was using, 7/10/11, whether the windows installation was new or not. It also happens on a brand new Windows installation where I freshly install the Reolink Client on it! At the moment I have 4 external cameras that are called up via other networks in the software and in my own network there are currently 4 cameras running = 8 pieces.I had the same problems with the previous client versions! The software has some serious programming errors! In any case, I don't know why they can't get a handle on it, probably not even the programmer knows.Greetings from Germany (sorry my english is not perfect)
