Faasio, I reverted back to version 220.127.116.11 and needed to "restore" my camera's. I'm not having any problems so far using this older version app. I didn't have any success with 18.104.22.168 version.I'm sticking with 4.28, I don't think it's worth the aggravation to update. You don't get any newer features with the update that make any significant difference in my opinion.
Hello Fiona,Phone model is Samsung Galaxy A51, model # SM-S515DLRunning Android 11Update: After removing Reolink app v22.214.171.124 and restoring v126.96.36.199 (the last good working app),I was able to gain push notifications back by "Restoring" camera by going to "Settings>Advanced>Restore" and going thru the initialize process again.I then had to reset all my camera settings including turning on "push" setting because it defaults to OFF.Everything seems stable now as it was before the .0.6 update.Another poster ,Dugan, also confirmed that Restore was suggested by tech support.
I can confirm that the version .06 "fix" does not fix the issues created from .05.1. Still do not receive any push notifications,2. Still experience a clipped view when rotating phone from vertical to horizontal (most times, not all)3. PIR button is still too small to seeAlso noticed that when turning ON or OFF PIR from within camera setting page, when you back out to the list of camera's page, the PIR button does not reflect the setting you just made.
I am getting frustrated with every update to Reolink software. It seems that more often than not, you break something that was working fine. For me, I was using app version 188.8.131.52 for Android. It was OK and everything was working fine. Unfortunately, my phone automatically updated the app to version 184.108.40.206and now I have a set of new issues to deal with. I uninstalled the app, then reinstalled and had to add 11 camera's back on. Don't ask me to try changing this setting and that setting, because everything was good the way it waswith the previous version. It's whatever changed in the new version that created these issues.Issue 1: "PIR" button is too small, in my opinion, to see. It's also hard to see if it is set to "on" (Blue) or not because it is so small. The old button was much easier to see. Please revert back to the old way.And do we really need that stupid symbol in the middle of the screen. The words "Not connected" is sufficient enough.Issue 2: When rotating phone horizontally, this is what happens most of the time...Then when I rotate back to vertical, this is what happens most of the time...Please test updates thoroughly before you release them. I would like to also see a way to revert back to the last good working versionbe made available to users if they would like to step back into the last version. Is there a way to install the previous version software?
Fiona,Just a follow up on the subject of not being able to add camera's to the client software version 8.5.1. This problem has been fixed with the release of client version 8.7What ever was changed in the code with 8.7 now allows me to add the camera's. I guess this will remain a mystery. The important thing is that it is now fixed. Thanks
Thank you Lorenz, that worked for me.
Can anyone tell me how to switch between Clear and Fluent using the new Client 8.7 software when in Live View? I don't seem to see any button or menu selection to do it.The only area I see to change this is on the Playback page which I'm not sure that that affects the Live View. Thank you
No you're not alone. I'm getting it too!!
Hello Fiona,Yes I've tried all of your suggestions except downgrading to the older client. To summarize, these cameras I want to add are already on my home network and are accessible from my phone app. They are not new cameras I'm trying to add but they are already connected cameras. I was using windows client 8.3.0 without a problem. In 8.3.0, when adding them to the client, I was able to do exactly what I am trying to do now with 8.5.1. using the UID method. Further, when I input the UID number and press "Next", I am informed that"I am adding a battery camera". I answer "OK", next window gives me a choice of "Connect to WiFi" or "Access Camera". I choose to "Access Camera", then the client tries to add the camera but an Error window pops up stating "Error Connection Failed".Hope this is clearer. Thanks
Crimp On - The Scan option terminates with "Error, No devices found". Trying with the IP method gives the same results. I have added 8 cameras at a different house using the UID method and had no problem. These cameras are in my local network at my home and they are not recognised. Thanks
Hello, I have installed the Windows Client 8.5.1 software. I have successfully added 8 camera's to it using the UID method. The camera's are on another network and I access them remotely. No problems. Now I have other camera's already working on my local area network that I can not add to the new client using the UID method. I was able to do this before with the older Client software, but not now.Can you explain what I am doing wrong? The new manual say's to connect the camera with an Ethernet cable connected to my router and scan for devices. Why has this changed from previous versions?Do I really need to get out my ladder, dismount my camera's and bring them inside to get them added to the Client software? Please explain.Thank youI should mention that these are all battery camera's, Argus 2 and Argus PT
Hello,I haven't found release history for client or app software here on site.I think it would be good to have the changes documented from release to release available to the end user. The user would then be able to decide whether or not it is worth the upgrade based on the changes made. Thanks
I've been using the client software since it's initial roll out. I keep hoping that someone would finally create a good piece of software but alas, I don't think it will ever happen here. Such frustration! The Windows client, to me, feels like a complete amateur show. The playback feature is a joke. Even the automatic software update is broken.I hate to be so negative, but it's hard to find any positives. Maybe Reolink can farm out the client software to the US and get a good working program.
Using Android app version 220.127.116.11, I have 5 Argus2 cameras. My devices order as set using the feature of "Adjust Device Order", does not change the live preview page order. For example, when I am watching a live stream and I swipe the screen to the next device, the order of devices does not match the order that I set them at. The channels all match the device names, so that seems to be working. It's only when using the live preview page, not matching. Please fix.Thank you
I upgraded the client software to v18.104.22.168 The problem I am having is (1) When I view a single camera (I have 5), the client window will open with a multi array of windows. If I try to switch the display to a single window, nothing happens. This did not happen in the previous version (7.2.28). See screen shot.(2) Why can't you resize the program window by click and drag like you can with every other Windows program in existance.(3) With having 5 cameras, only 4 will fit in the Device List area of the program interface. Why can't I drag the separator bar down so that I don't have to scroll the window to get at my last camera. See screen shot.(4) When the program is open, why is my task bar completely hidden? The only way to reduce the size of the program window is to change the resolution with the button at the top of the screen.Come on guys. Clean this all up please.Capture.jpgCapture-new.pdf
Hello, as per the Topic, I assume that the sensitivity settings for PIR of Low/Mid/High, are for the entire field of view. I would like to suggest, if possible, to add a 'frame' in the view area that shows exactly where the active PIR is, according to the Low/Mid/High setting. Additionally to that, it would be great if the user could adjust the frame to fine tune the PIR area.I have an area that monitors a door with a busy street within view. I would like to adjust my PIR area if I could so I don't get false events.Bye the way, Great product! Thanks
Hi, Just a suggestion for the live feed camera display page of the Android phone app.I find the time and camera name fields to be rather small. Is there a wayyou could give the user the option to increase the size of the font?Thank you
