@reolink-fiona Thanks for the changelog
I currently have Reolink windows app v8.7.3. If I click the upgrade button, dialog window appears telling me that "This is the most current version available."... I have no idea how is this software checking for new version, because at this very moment, the version available for download is v8.8.1. Also, second question - is there somewhere changelog for windows app? Every serious app has one and it's useful for end users to decide whether it is good for them to upgrade. I just couldn't find the Reolink's.
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 That's the way I have to use it currently. But it's not good. If you have a lot of videos, you need to wait some time for thumbnails to load. If you then decide to download video or videos in other resolution, all thumbnails have to load again. And that my friend is the reason I wish for another download button.
I wish there were two download buttons instead of one in windows client. Currently there is only one download button and the video resolution is either low or high, depending on quality settings set in main window - player section. The download dialog window should contain two separate buttons - download high and download low resolution. Of course this can be achieved also via radiobutton or combobox...
@reolink-fiona Currently windows client has three buttons in Playback mode: Advance Frame by Frame, Play/Pause and Speed. If I want to navigate to next or previous record, I have to either wait for next video to load or drag cursor to next or previous video. NEXT and PREV buttons would make this much more easier and quicker. It would basically work just like any audio / video player ever made.
I'm currently trying to resolve some issues directly with the support. They ask multiple times for camera settings - screenshots. Why? Isn't there a way to retrieve such information in a complex way in form of an export? Or bar code or QR code that would contain crucial information about camera settings? - excluding personal information in regards to GDPR.
Can you please add next/prev buttons to video player (windows client). Thank you
I wish there could be an option to force re-upload all or selected videos to FTP server.
Hello. I would like to have advanced wifi settings where I could define a secondary/backup wifi. I have my primary wifi and this is backed up by my secondary wifi. If the camera fails to connect to the main wifi, It could search for any other known (used-defined) wifi and connect to that. Wifi would switch to the one with stronger signal. Can this be done?
@reolink-fiona thank you, I see it. Does this feature work also on motion detection recording or just on continuous?
@reolink-fiona I have the latest firmware. I will contact the support team.
@reolink-fiona I know, but this is a wishlist Can the idea I'm suggesting be implemented somehow? It could be useful. Especially the time-based scenes (scenes that have expire time and after this time they revert to other scene / scheduling)
@reolink-fiona Hello. Yes I have the latest firmware and I can see the push interval. It's unfortunate that I can set only 20,30,60 and 120 second interval. I would be great if there could be a custom interval. Or maybe even a 5 min interval. Anyway, the original idea was a temporary suspension of all notifications for a camera or a certain set of cameras. You usually want the interval to work as set up, but my idea was to suspend all notification in case you encounter a friendly activity. If you monitor a certain area and for instance your family is there and you know they will be in the picture for a while you probably don't want notifications every two minutes, right? You could set up a privacy filter or detection zone, but then you would have to keep that in mind and not forget to revert that setting.
@reolink-fiona Hello. I have the latest firmware. Upgrade of the firmware was the first thing I did when I powered on the camera. I have the false alarm videos and also the non-detecting videos. I can provide them later.
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 this is doable if there is a constant sound, like machine buzzing in the background. but even so, i would let user the an option - the ability to override such feature and manually set equalizer to the user's need.
Hi. I own RLC-542WA camera with motion detection and I'm not sure why such a thing like FTP postpone exists. Can anybody explain please?I've set up FTP upload as a security measure against physical damage or camera theft. To my surprise, videos uploaded to FTP server were missing the beginning. It's important for me to see what triggered the motion recording and what was happening. If the camera was stolen I wouldn't have a chance to see the footage. Maybe it's just how I am used to competitor's system where after a video is recorded and finalized, it's uploaded to FTP server. That also may not be the best approach, but at least when I review videos from server, they are complete and not trimmed like from Reolink. What's the point of having incomplete footage on FTP server? If users could define how many seconds of pre-motion video is recorded, that would probably solve the whole issue.
Thanks, I will be looking forward to it.
@email_525317533946102 yes, that will work for blowing wind, but for other noises no. If there is a device generating noise in form of a certain frequency (like fans in server room, ac unit, heavy machinery, etc.), simple equalizer does do job (can mute frequencies, boost other frequencies, turn whole amp down or up).
Hi. It would be great if you could add options for microphone adjustments like manually set amp level, boost, noise reduction and normalization, manually specify frequency to remove (useful for industrial areas with constant frequency noises from traffic or machines like AC units), etc.
Hi, is it possible to implement more advanced scenes? Advanced in a way that I could define perhaps custom privacy zone in each? Or maybe also other settings as well? This would make it very easy for me, and others, to simply switch to a scene where I defined other privacy zones so easy. Also, It would be great if I could define a time interval when a scene is activated/deactivated (scheduling). Also mentioned in other thread as well, temporary scene - defined by time and after this time passes, scene reverts to different (or default, or user defined) scene.
