@user_816371378602150_816371378602150 that's what i thought. this could be a valuable feature.
Hello. Does Reolink NVR somehow support UPS? I mean, does it know, it is power via UPS (in a way notebook knows it has s battery inserted and at the same time it is on power adapter)? What I'm concerned about in this question is the fact, that in my area, there is a power outage once in a while. In such case, an NVR with UPS could tell the connected PoE cameras to turn on color nightvision (if capable). Is such technology present?
@reolinkshayla I have RLC-842A and RLC-542WA cameras and both support smart detection, yet I don't see the Motion Mark available in my updated app. Any suggestions why?
@p0zeta20_671917366853819 tried, does not work. still loads way too long...
I am using windows 10 with the latest client to connect to my PoE cameras (which are in a remote location). Camera work fine - I can tell by using android reolink app (via wifi, so phone and computer use same internet connection) which works just fine. But windows client has some kind of problems. It takes way too long to establish connection. Sometimes it even says it the camera is disconnected, but then it finally loads image and camera can be operated. I tried to revert the app to previous version but this did not help. I have not made changes to windows system and every software works just fine and internet is fast enough (80/25 mbit/s connection). Anyway, this behavior started to occur just few weeks ago, maybe late August / early September. Does anyone else have these connection problems? Previously the camera connection was instant upon opening the windows client, now it takes maybe 10-15 seconds.
I wish there was an indication in the upper right corner that would tell how many clients are connected to the camera and watching the stream. We already have a motion icons showing the corner, I would like to see another one - either that someone else than me is watching the stream or a number telling me the number of clients connected (maybe showing 2 and more).
@md I totally forgot about scenes Thanks, I'll try it.
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 Thanks! I didn't realize that since I was looking at desktop version when I wrote that wish. No such Test [censored]on is present on desktop version, which is unfortunate.
This is my problem too. I sometimes get, what i call friendly activity, in the monitored area. Typically family and friends...I currently solve this by drawing a privacy mask rectangle in the area - the reason is that not only camera records Person activities, but it also uploads it to the ftp server. So by drawing a privacy mask I reduce a number of recordings on sd card and network data for upload. It also has other benefits too - sd card is not overwriting older data (so I can "see" more than just a few days history) and also it gives the friendly people their privacy. On the other hand I deal with same problem - I sometimes forget to remove privacy mask. If Reolink would make privacy mask with timer (5 min, 20 min, 60min, 6hrs, infinity, etc...) that would solve my problems. Not in a fancy way, but it would help.
I wish you would add test [censored]on to verify push notification is working correctly. It is useful for testing the phone's setup and overall push notification mechanism.
@reolink-fiona Is there a chance of getting firmware update for RLC-542WA? Pet detection would be useful.
@user_635300470997033_635300470997033 this happened to me so many times. When I obtained the cameras at first, I was just testing them. For example I've pointed them at a wall or at a closed door. And out of nowhere a car was detected. Only once was this resolved - in the corner of the image was a fridge with a car on a magnet/sticker. It was hilarious - distance between the camera and fridge was 2 meters and the magnet/sticker was approx 8x4cm.
For clarification, I use two cameras RLC-842A and RLC-542WA. I use motion based recording, and notifications only for person. The 542WA does not have pet detection, so I have to record all motions. Bugs and spiders usually don't bother me, but wind and rain does. The cameras aren't that smart unfortunately (and don't have AI). Delay - I use for person since in the past I got false alarm in the notifications.Object size - angle and distance don't allow me to setup a minimum object size since I want to detect also pets and person (also in distance).Like I said in the first post, glaring line could be filtered in future sw update...
I wish you could add detection of rain drops and wind-based movements so these events can be filtered out. Many of us have this problem, if its either rain drops passing by in front of lens or a tree branch that suddenly moves a little. All could be filtered out IMHO. A thin glaring line heading from top to the bottom, sometimes with an angle or a tree branch that moves within a defined limits. Hope you figure out these problems and make our surveillances better.
I wish you release firmware update for RLC-542WA enabling pet detection. When can we expect this kind of update?
@reolink-fiona Thanks for the changelog
I currently have Reolink windows app v8.7.3. If I click the upgrade [censored]on, dialog window appears telling me that "This is the most current version available."... I have no idea how is this software checking for new version, because at this very moment, the version available for download is v8.8.1. Also, second question - is there somewhere changelog for windows app? Every serious app has one and it's useful for end users to decide whether it is good for them to upgrade. I just couldn't find the Reolink's.
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 That's the way I have to use it currently. But it's not good. If you have a lot of videos, you need to wait some time for thumbnails to load. If you then decide to download video or videos in other resolution, all thumbnails have to load again. And that my friend is the reason I wish for another download [censored]on.
I wish there were two download [censored]ons instead of one in windows client. Currently there is only one download [censored]on and the video resolution is either low or high, depending on quality settings set in main window - player section. The download dialog window should contain two separate [censored]ons - download high and download low resolution. Of course this can be achieved also via radio[censored]on or combobox...
@reolink-fiona Currently windows client has three [censored]ons in Playback mode: Advance Frame by Frame, Play/Pause and Speed. If I want to navigate to next or previous record, I have to either wait for next video to load or drag cursor to next or previous video. NEXT and PREV [censored]ons would make this much more easier and quicker. It would basically work just like any audio / video player ever made.
