@curls
Which camera? This is possible with Duo 2 camera. -
@jedi2020_32727772450952 And even E1 OD and RLC511WA. But this is only available on the Windows Client. The Android client hasn't yet been updated. Note that on DUO 2 WIFI battery operated this is not available. Maybe they will not introduce it on battery operated cameras......

@curls
if your client and camera firmware are up to date you should have these options.

@jedi2020_32727772450952 I have a Duo 2. It only has spotlight off, on to a time schedule, on for motion detection, does not have spotlight on for specific movement,

@jedi2020_32727772450952 yes I was wondering about the reolink Duo 2. I want it to record everything but only turn on the spotlight for people and pets.

Available on Mac client as well. Not sure why it isn't available on mobile apps. -
@jedi2020_32727772450952 As stated this not available on the latest official Android client. Maybe it will be included in the next upgrade.

@jedi2020_32727772450952 On Win it is available but still not available on Android.

@curls Reolink PoE cameras typically offer motion detection settings that can be customized to trigger the spotlight or IR LEDs. However, distinguishing between people, pets, and vehicles may depend on the camera model and firmware. To configure these settings, access your camera's interface, enable motion detection, and define specific detection zones. Adjust sensitivity levels to minimize false alarms from vehicles while capturing motion from people and pets. Some advanced models may include AI-based object recognition to differentiate between object types more accurately. Refer to your camera's user manual or Reolink's support for specific instructions tailored to your camera model.

Look for the "Motion Detection" or "Smart Detection" settings. These settings control how the camera detects and triggers events based on motion.

Reolink's software may offer limited customization for motion detection, but it may not distinguish between people, pets, and vehicles.

@user_755802598760632_755802598760632 This is rightly available on most cameras with the exception of battery operated ones.

What kind of camera do you use. There are now a lot of cameras that can do what you want, but price is an issue. basketball stars

Launch Reolink App and log in to your camera. Then enter the live-view page and tap the Flashlight icon to manually turn it on/off.

Within the motion detection settings, check for options related to object detection or filtering. Some cameras may offer specific options to differentiate between people, pets, and vehicles.
