Minor modification (should come from factory like this!).

The plastic adjustable mount has provision for neatly fitting the ethernet plug but not the 12V power cable.

Especially relevant for the non-POE Duo/Duo 2 wifi that does not need the ethernet port except for diags and initial setup.

Leaving these connections more exposed is asking for trouble from pesky cockatoos (Australia) that just love to eat external cabling and dangling bits.

Current mount marking where hole needed.

Modified, showing BOTH cables can now neatly pass through.

EXTERNAL side. I'd also put some sealant around both sides.

Still room for the bottom metal mounting bracket.

@alxr101_252113777299683 Best practice is to install a waterproof junction box where you enclose all the cables. What I recommend is that the mounting should be of metal or aluminium as when the wind is strong you will see live stream being shaky a bit. Camera is a bit heavy.

@alxr101_252113777299683 A good alteration to protect the cable ends and hide them from view. I like it. I was able to put my cable ends up inside the soffit, nice and dry.
