Hi,I am using Reolink RLC-410S and I am using the web interface of the camera to view live streaming on my Chrome browser. But I am getting video stuttering when viewing on Clear mode with 2560x1440, 8192bit rate, 25fps.Why is that? Also can I know why there is only up to 25fps option to choose from? I thought this product supports up to 30fps?
Hi, there is actually nothing wrong with your camera. Seems that you are located in some part in Asia and use PAL format. So the maximum framerate is a standard 25fps. If you are in U.S. and Canada, then you will be using NTSC format and reaches 30fps. See more info on this topic: https://www.sjbproductions.com/web_pages/tip_video/format_list.htm http://www.diffen.com/difference/NTSC_vs_PAL
Thanks for the quick reply on the fps. But what about my earlier issue about the video stuttering?
It doesn't. From my experience, using the web browser with a large quantity of video (high res video or a bunch of smaller lower res ones) its just not performant. The desktop app is a lot better if you're on a compatible device. It has a lot of stuff wrong with it (terrible DPI scaling because they refuse to use native UI for it) but it does perform pretty well, even for a large number of cameras.
