TrackMix LTE Plus is ready for subscription!

      Continuous recording on battery/solar cameras

With the Reolink TrackMix LTE Plus camera, continuous recording on battery/solar cameras is no longer a problem.

Forever power supply, provided by the 66W giant solar panel and built-in 155Wh battery, makes it possible for the camera to record 24/7 and be in standby mode all year round.

Plus 2K HD images, dual-lens pictures, auto-tracking, and a 4G cellular network connection, the TrackMix LTE Plus is your perfect security option in remote farms, vacation cabins, and construction sites.

I am wondering why someone needs 24/7 recording when very good AI with detection of people and cars and pets is available?!
This solarpanel looks huge on a cabin and compared to the small camera I really dont see any reason to install this big thing on a cabin or small house.
Is there really a need for a product like this? I install a lot of cameras on farms and places far away from villages but there was never a need for 24/7 recording.

@janser-dienstleistungen-gmbh_257000373518575 No one forces you to buy such a camera.
However, there are cases which benefit from 24/7 recording. If you have got them connected over the LTE system, often, if a car or person goes past the property, they are gone before the alarm reaches the owner. By having the camera already recording or being is active standby mode, the alarm acts right away. There is also the fact, if the camera is warm, it copes with damp and frost without losing the clear view. For the uses I have got for it, it is ideal. Without the larger solar panels, the camera could not record over two days if the sun was not reaching the panels.
And with such large panels, you need a stronger mount to cope with all weathers. The camera itself is actually relatively small. I hope this will give you a different perspective to consider. No offence meant.

@s-stoessler_71959255531 Correct. It's up to the individual to select which camera to purchase based on his/her requirements.

@s-stoessler_71959255531 I fully agree. But: I prefer to do a different approach where I also can extend the system with more cameras and use the internet connection also for other devices like laptops, etc. for example...
Like: using of a standard solar power system with battery (if not anyway installed in a cabin far away from a village) and use PoE powered cameras where the AI detection of people and cars and movements in general always works very nice and reliable
and then use a robust outdoor 4G or 5G router resulting in having a small but perfect network at that cabin for multiple use and being able to add more cameras if necessary to see all around that cabin.
I would never offer a solution like this camera & solar panel set to any customer because it is a standalone solution with no possible extra use at all... Hope you understand my point of view 😉

@janser-dienstleistungen-gmbh_257000373518575 The issue of battery operated cameras is that they are in cold state and when triggered by an event it takes some seconds before they start recording. If the object movement is fast enough then the camera won't catch it. Otherwise yes I also do not see the need of such a hugh solar panel. I prefer to focus on other important functionalities customers are requesting rather than a panel. But this is my personal opinion as a customer. There are myriads of important functions to include....the list is endless. I guess the demand will be low.
