Can I backup the configuration?

Greetings,

There is no documentation about how to backup the settings, so I would like help. When I go into the Windows client and click Settings > System > Maintenance, it brings up the following:


If I click the first Browse button, a Select Folder to Upload dialog box appears. What do I do next?

1. Do I create an empty folder, and the client will save the configuration files here, or
2. Do I find out where the existing configuration file is, and select that?

It doesn't say where it gets uploaded to, which is confusing.

I have an E1 Zoom.

@shane It seems that you are using on old Win client. The save configuration is no longer available on the newer Win clients.

@joseph_1979 I am running version 8.10.4. The website says that this is the most recent version. It was released on May 15, 2023.

What version are you running?

@joseph_1979 I just realized that this is a feature of the device—not the Windows software. So for example, my E1 Zoom has the ability to export the configuration file, but my Go Plus doesn't have this option.

I'm still trying to figure out how to export the settings on my E1 Zoom.

@shane The export config has been removed from new firmware. And if you export the config I do not think there is the import function. When you click browse, locate a folder on your PC where to save the configuration. Nevertheless there is not much configuration on the cameras unless you have tens of units.

what is about update for config backup ?
I bought cams from you, good stuff, but i am wondering about not existing backup function.
I updated firmware to latest. Nothing. Thats a joke ?
In fact i need to make screenshots of every single adjustment i need to know.
