Hi,
I can't get my RLC-823A to take a firmware upgrade.
I downloaded the latest version listed on the Reolink Download Center and when I browse to it, then try to upgrade, it tells me it failed to recognize the file format, which is a .pak.
I then tried to use an older version that I had previously used successfully and it too fails with the same message.
Any help is appreciated.Reply QuoteShare0- Share this Post

@bill_509018094649486 The downloaded file is zipped. You need to unzip it to get the pak file.

hmm, I use the PC Reolink app. Make sure it's the correct firmware for that cam, I download the firmware, put it on the deskto, open firmware folder, move the firmware from folder to desktop, open Reolink app, go to camera settings, system, maintenance, browse, find the firmware on desktop, click it open, click upgrade. You may have to try resetting the camera.

send an email to support with the camera model and they will email the correct
version for your camera. There can be a few variations for some cameras.
