I have both the 823A and 823A 16X. On the download page there is an update for the 823A. Will this update also update the 823A 16X?

The new firmware for 823A 16X (v3.1) is available on the download center. The firmware available for download on the download center for the 823A is compatible with the 823A 16X2. So, you can update your RLC-823A 16X with the latest firmware available on the download center.

I've downloaded the new firmware for the 823A/16X but can't find the menu on the NVR to allow me to upgrade it. I plug a memory stick into the USB slot on the NVR but can't find the menu to allow me up upgrade the firmware to upgrade it. Here's the link you supplied.

Hello - After multiple strolls thru the menu system I was finally able to get to the upgrade page. So I successfully upgrade the 823A but when I tried to use the same .pak file for the 823A 16X it gave me a "wrong format" message. So evidently the 823A firmware will not upgrade the 823A 16X firmware.

I got the same "wrong format" message when I tried updating my RCL-823 16X which on firmware (v3.1.0.2040_23041423_v1.0.0.93) with the above mentioned firmware!

There is new firmware version for the 823a 16x camera in the download center that now will also support auto-tracking when in patrol mode. GREAT new feature!
