@leeawhite_475558898094213 I am not aware of the v8.12. Has this been provided by support?
-
These stop showing up for me.
520, 1220A, E1 Pro, 824A, -
Can't access my NVR RLN8-410 (fw v3.3.0.226_23031644) on 8.12. Reverted back to 8.11 and everything works again.
-
8.12 works fine for me but it seems it is now removed from the site.
-
I downloaded V8.12, hoping it would fix the missing buttons, but instead, my video disappeared. I had to go back to V8.11 and the crop/clip and PTZ Buttons are still missing. Does anyone know of a fix for this in the client?

@victoria_627138625310723 Hello Victoria, thank you for the feedback. Our team would like to take a further look into the issue. Would you love to do us a favor by allowing a remote access to your PC where the 8.11 version is installed? Feel free to write to me via message or email (lorenz#reolink.com, replace # with @) and I will reply very soon.

@victoria_627138625310723 Hi Victoria, you may also try to download this 8.12 beta version and see if this fixes the missing clip and PTZ buttons. Let me know if you have any questions or need any help.

@reolink-lorenz Thank you. Let me try this...
-
@reolink-lorenz this beta doesn't have the clip either (that's the button I use most).
-
@reolink-lorenz Also, when I look at all 8 cameras, with the beta you can only click the record button or take a picture when in the larger screen. So you have to move a camera over to the bigger screen to take a picture/video, that's not good if you have seconds to capture something.
-
@reolink-lorenz moving back to V8.11
-
@reolink-lorenz If you do 4 cameras, then you can get buttons on each screen, but clip is still missing on all 4 screens
-
@victoria_627138625310723 I have them as illustrated below on v8.12
-
@victoria_627138625310723 And this is for the case of multi-view. As you can see both the clip and the ptz icons are included.
-
@joseph_1979 I see, I only have two. I use to have 4 to 5 buttons but when it went to 8.11, I lost those. If I look at my cameras on my phone I get all of them, just not on the PC anymore. It's a Dell and Win 11.
-
@joseph_1979 also, with 8.11 at least I get the camera and video on each screen as I hover over the picture they come up. With 8.12, I have to either have the window on the larger screen or only view 4 cameras at a time now to see the video camera buttons.
-
@victoria_627138625310723 Thank you for all the feedback, Victoria. Would you please give us a permission for remotely accessing your Client software so we can locate and fix the issue? Thank you very much.
-
@victoria_627138625310723 So it is specific to your environment. Would you consider installing the DirectX9 libraries and try again? It won't impact your current DirectX11. You can download it from MS.
-
@reolink-lorenz I don't know how to give permission ...
-
@joseph_1979 I will try that now. brb with what happened.
-
@joseph_1979 I downloaded, then changed to v8.12 and nothing changed. No sure what that does as when I had v8.10 I didn't have this problem until downloading v8.11. Anyways, I'm heading back to v8.11 and hoping it works sometime in the future I guess.
-
-
@victoria_627138625310723 Would you consider to restore one camera and check again. Delete it and re-create it.
They need access to your computer to check what's wrong. Whenever my customers have an issue on the application I sold to them, they run teamviewer (freeware) and they grant me the session ID and the password provided by Teamviewer when running. You will see what the other party is doing. But this depends on your willingness and trust. And as you said you are fine with v8.11 and will check for future updates. -
@victoria_627138625310723 Thank you again for the help, Victoria. Our team has composed another version that fixes the missing clip and PTZ buttons. If you want to try it out, download it with the link below. I am looking forward to your feedback.

@reolink-lorenz Thank you. I downloaded that and now each individual screen again has the camera, picture, and stream button when I hover. There still are no PTZ or Clip buttons. My two REOLINK E1 Pro 4MP HD Plug-in Home Security Indoor Cameras have all the buttons when I hover over the screens. Just the outdoor system, IP PoE Dome Surveillance Cameras that came with the NVR are missing the rest of the buttons. I am thinking I'll just live with it this way until one of the updates comes out and it goes back to normal.
-
@reolink-lorenz So what I did was uninstall and then reinstall the new version. After putting passwords back in, I had ALL the buttons on ALL the screens when I hovered over each. Once I closed it and reopened only the Camera, Video, and Streaming buttons showed when I hovered. Hope this helps.
-
@joseph_1979 Joseph, I don't mind deleting and adding back, but my son will need to help me. I'll try to catch him tomorrow before he leaves for the rest of the week. Great idea btw.

The client program was automatically updated today, and I subsequently lost the video feed from all cameras. After reinstalling the V8.11 client app, the video feed functioned well again. I believe Reolink engineers are working on a fix.Reply QuoteShare0- Share this Post

@will2021_597482666070088 I have the same issue with V8.12. Despite raising a ticket there is no solution. Where can I find V8.11 to have a working client again?
-
@mart-tob_723653357826278 Can you describe what is the issue? Maybe you have no video? Today they have released 8.12.1 at their download center. I just did the upgrade and so far it seems fine.
-
i got a pop up update for 8.12 and now my 810 dosnt work.

This version broke the CLEAR version of the stream. Balanced and Fluent are working.
-
Won't connect to my NVR (RLN8-410 v3.3.0.226_23031644) unless I view playback first.
-
Same issue here. After Windows Ver 8.12.1 installed:
RLC-1220A only live stream after playback.
Two RLC-822A will not livestream nor Playback at all
Reolink Argus 2E will play back and livestream
When I had to write this post, I tried something different and suddenly the live stream worked on all cameras; but after closing and reopening the client same problem as above.
There must be an error in the client. When I installed the update I also had to update my DirectX, which has not been the case beforeReply QuoteShare0- Share this Post

@jim_391802144162039 Did you install DirectX package included with the client or the one downloaded from MS?
I suggest you to email support.
