      Hello guys,

I have installed the RLK161200D8-A CCTV system together with 8 security cameras.

The detection alarm works perfectly, however, I would like to connect the cameras to a 24/7 security company.

The problem is how to send the triggered signal from the camera to a security system and then to 24/7 security company?

Is there any way to achieve this without installing separate motion detectors on the security system?

      BR,

@ergomanservices_704492722979564 You need webhook or a simple http request or matter but none of these are available on Reolink cameras. So what can you do? You can enable email on detection with the email address being the Pushover account and then instructs pushover to send notifications. You can also enable ftp and when the file is received then you can write an application to send a notification.

@joseph_1979 Hello mate, thanks for your response.

Email alerts and push notifications are already being enabled.

My concern is how to enable the input of a security system through the above notifications?

For example, some CCTVs manufacturers have an alarm box which enables the input of a security system once the detection alarm of the camera being enabled.

How is possible to enable an input of a security system through a notification?

@ergomanservices_704492722979564 These outputs can be connected to an alarm input on your security system, which can then be programmed to trigger an alarm event when the cameras detect motion. From there, your security system can be configured to send the triggered signal to the 24/7 security company.

@user_731393886605564_731393886605564 Which outputs do you mean? The only available ports on the Reolink's CCTV is a) VGA b) HDMI c) USB and d) Audio Out. Non of them can be connected to the input of a security system.

@ergomanservices_704492722979564 Depends on the features available on the security system you have? RLN16 (NVR) has no external I/P and O/P triggers. These are only available on the RLN36.

Check methods of interfacing on your security system.

@joseph_1979 Hello Joseph. Thank you for your prompt response.

As I can see, the RLN36 has 8x alarm in & 4x alarm out. So, one of the alarm out, it could be connected to my security system. Correct?

Now, If I purchase the RLN36, is it possible to be coneected to the existing RLN16? Or I should remove the RLN16 and connect all the cameras to RLN36? Do I need a POE switch as well?

@ergomanservices_704492722979564 I would connect all to the RLN36 and use the external alarm to trigger your security system. Once again ensure that what is provided from the RLN36 is compatible with the input of your security system. So get the specs of the triggering method on your security system and ask Reolink support if this is compatible with the RLN36. Ensure yourself that the RLN36 fits your purpose.

Unfortunately the methods (IFTTT to external devices, MQTT, Matter, HTTP request, etc) I mentioned are not yet available on Reolink units.
