I am thinking to replace a Skybell (Wi-Fi) with the Reolink POE doorbell and connecting it to my NVR, but it requires a bit of work to run the ethernet cable, so I hafta ask: Is the Reolink responsive/fast? My complaint about my Skybells (one at each of two houses) is that while the notices of a button-press are mostly instant, the connection process takes long enough that I miss some of the people that are trying to contact me. ISP not the issue I think at 370Mpbs down and 12Mbps up. Do the ethernet Reolinks respond "instantly"?

@myreolink_533265780207845 right now save your money! you will miss most if not all doorbell presses (unless you are near your chime) also no call screen with option to answer or decline when someone rings doorbell. no actual logs that when preased x notification it would present you with video clip playing at time of notification. it actually isn't a video doorbell and tbh they should stop selling it and recall it or refund everyone all their money back they paid for it.

i love the reolink products i have a lot of them but the doorbell....... its more a cam than a doorbell i use to have a laview one halo (its the same rebrand from ezviz db1) and i miss it.... the reolink only have a nice push notification so if someone ring the doorbell you will miss it unless you have the app open or your phone outh of your pocket and in front of you .... that it, for me its a mess... my old one use to open some kind of voip call ringing like hell so it doesnt matter i hear the ring and the app its ready for me to answer the call(without any monthy fee), but reolink dont.....dont forget it doesnt have any ring history so if you miss the ring you dont have any easy way to find when a who ring your doorbel like my old doorbell that show me a list with pictures by time who ring my front doorbell... yes i miss my old one... i hope reolink fix/upgrade their product... the only 2 cool things the auto response its funny you can record whatever you want and if you dont miss the ring you can set what message you want them to hear... and of course if you have many reolink cams like me you can see the video using the same app....
the speed in with the reolink app/windows and cams its greate.... i have only 110 mbps up/ 110down and work greate.... i have it using wifi but i use it with ethernet cable too..
maybe you have to check your router config...Reply QuoteShare0- Share this Post

@ss4sgoku_239593250332868 LV / RCA /Ezviz / Hikvision are all the same video doorbells just different fw so flashing to the Hikvision HS-HD1 firmware also gives you ONVIF.

@ss4sgoku_239593250332868 I suggest you to submit your requested to Reolink support. The more requests they get the higher the probability to be implemented.
