I am running the most recent version of the iPhone app on an iPhone X with the latest version of the phone OS.Fairly often when trying to connect to the camera (RLC-410 and RLC-410WS) via the app over a cellular network I will get a "connection failed" notification. My connection path is as follows:Mobile phone in cellular network (LTE, full signal) <--> carrier network to Internet <----> approx 6 Mbps down / 1 Mbps up DSL connection <----> two 802.11ac PtP wireless hops, then wired to the camera via an AP.I am trying to connect with the "Fluent" setting.Usually if I am at home (remote from the camera) on my personal home Wifi (which is via a DSL connection MUCH slower than the LTE network), I can connect, and when at the property with the cameras it ALWAYS connects without issue. My guess is there is some latency / delay timeout that is occurring that results in the connection failed due to the cellular network latency - is this perhaps the case, and if so is there any option to extend the time before the connection fails timeout to ensure a more reliable ability to connect to the camera?
There are a few things to take a look at. Would you please contact our support by submitting request ticket on the right-down corner of reolink.com and our support will help you resolve the issue ASAP. Thank you ~
I am having very similar issues. iPhone 7 AT&T RLC-410WS. Full wireless bars and will connect with no issues when on my home network. Will fail to connect when using the app over cell LTE Service.
Hello! Is there any news about the problems with the "Failed connection"?I am facing the same ... when I am at home connected to my Wifi (same as the camera) it works fine and I can reach and activate the live viewing mode. As soon as I am outside and just using 3G/4G internet - it is not possible to connect to the camera ... I have tried to set up my wifi router at home with adding Ports and disabeling the Firewall and stuff .. but I am still not able to connect from outside ... I am really frustrated by now!I hope someone can help me and maybe has an idea how I should configure my Router (Huawei E-5180 Router). What should be the right Port set up? Thanks!!
Hi,I am faced with this problem as well but I got over it by setting the port forwarding for RTMP correctly on your router to match the one you set on each of your IPC.
Thanks for your answer!I have the Argus Camera ... Could you please tell me what exactly you set up on your router? Thanks!
Sorry, I do not have this unit. So best is you contact support team on this.
Just to add, what I usually do is I manually add the device by keying in the IP address (which is my DDNS that I set on the camera) follow by the Media port which I set in my router (Port Forwarding), and then lastly my username and password in the Phone App.
My camera have always worked properly in the last month I've had trouble connecting when I'm out of the house no matter if the signal is strong, Reolín cameras have always been connected without need to make any changes to the Router or phone that's one of the reasons why people use this company do not come to me with ridiculous ways to make a connection you have the Obligation to provide people with what you promise, I have not added or changed anything in my system, my phone, My computer o my Router remain the same ,I have other friends who have the same situation.7A003502-0381-4EFB-8BB5-D16A2C4B8E79.jpeg
Same issue here. Many "connection failed" attempts when connecting cellular (LTE).Rarely it connects first or second try. Usually takes 5+ tries. Sometimes 10+ tries.
