      I have a Reolink camera to test out but it is missing a very valuable feature that both Ring Camera's & Wyze Camera's have and deters me from changing over....It's being able to create a routine in Alexa when the camera detects a person (not just motion but a person) to trigger other devices such as indoor/outdoor lights etc. I currently have a Wyze camera aimed down my 100 foot driveway & if it detects a person, it turns on all my smart outdoor landscape & security lighting instead of using multiple motion sensors with limited range & constant false triggers. The reolink are unable to do this and feel it would be a very welcoming feature.

      How you would setup an Alexa Camera routine if it was available on Reolink Camera's like it is on my Ring & Wyze Camera's:

      Routines>New routine>When this happens>Smart home>Your Reolink camera>Person-when camera detects a person

          @ryan_35615385 Hello Ryan, thank you for the suggestion. Reolink is definitely planning to add such a smart feature to our cameras and systems to build a smart Reolink ecosystem.

          But it may take longer. If there is any news, we will let you know.

            @reolink-lorenz I am debating on investing a lot into this brand of cameras and NVRs, and Alexa integration to trigger events is the only thing keeping me from buying at this point. I need cams that turn on smart lights, and I need them to be configurable with setting up a geolocation home & away trigger through Alexa.

            I do have some Reolink wifi cams and have used scenes. Another useful feature for now would be to hilight which scene is active when you click on it in the app - as of now, you can't tell that a scene is active or not. Thanks for your consideration!

                  @joseph_1979 Hi Joseph, that's a you problem surely as very many of your customers *do* have Alexa, thus a fair question, so bit of a disappointing response/tone. Daljit made a fair and respectful request following the above statement by Lorenz on 2 Aug 2023 that "Reolink is definitely planning to add such a smart feature.." on this thread, so quite reasonable to seek an update on this Reolink forum after nearly 2 years? Ditto for Ryan and Anonymous.

                  Reolink engineers have previously informed me directly they weren't maintaining the Reolink App for Kindle after previously suggesting they were. After querying why Reolink Engineers are making Product Management decisions and subsequently contacting Reolink management with this concern, turned out the suggestion to create a universal client was exactly the type of feedback and customer guidance Reolink Product Management were looking for, and agreed that hearing from customers via forum (especially as many of us have valuable experience) was a great way to help Reolink keep competitive.

                  If you discourage or deflect discussions then customers just tend to move to other ecosystems that do provide better integrations to meet their needs. Check Paul Hibbert and LifeHackster and other influencer YouTube channels showing the power of features from other cameras. This would be a golden opportunity to have Reolink Product Management to reach out to the community members who have taken time to participate in such Community discussion, tell us how close they are (or have no intention) of delivering.

                  Personally I have over 20 Reolink cameras across multiple sites, many are due for updating in the next 12 months, so your response and Reolink's will be appreciated.

                  Reolink Skill Example : Alexa Routine --> On Reolink Person/Vehicle/Pet Detection --> Trigger Alexa Routine(s).

                  I'm taking time to genuinely help guide this discussion, so appreciate the support of community and Reolink to help improve Reolink products and keep the focus on Customer first.

                      I learned years ago not to base decisions on "promised features" (that may never appear). If a product does not do what I need, I do not purchase it.
