Hi,I'm using one of my Argus camera's in my son's room as an extra baby monitor. He sometimes get's distracted by the status light blinking in his dark room. For now I just put a small black piece off tape on it, but I can imagine that it could be usefull to just shut of this blinking light in the configuration.Kind RegardsTim
The status indicator is especially important when you meet any issue with the camera. It tells a lot of information. So we decided that it might not be a good idea to turn it off. Thank you.
Yes, PLEASE give us an option to turn off that indicator.I started testing my Argus system yesterday and was massively disappointed to see that there is a light show when it is active. The red LEDs multiply this issue. The lights draw far too much attention.
Dear user, we are re-considering the request. Thank you sincerely for sharing your thoughts.
Hi guys,I'm to update you this request has been adopted and will come true soon.By the way, can you guys share you thoughts on when the status indicator is switched off, how to judge its working status any other way?I'll give an example-one day you can no more login the camera, you used to be able to tell the camera loses connection if you see a red indicator on the camera lens, but now, nothing. The cameras won't tell a clue and you just can't login it no more. What will you do? Come on guys, let me hear your voices
Well, Let me put it another way:If you can't login the camera now, how many possibilities there could be the cause(s)?
How would I judge the status? I don't know, but I would probably start troubleshooting by removing the batteries temporarily or performing some other reset.Would it be possible to turn off the blue indicator that displays in day-to-day operation, but if the device loses connection or has some other error, then have the red indicator automatically turn on?
I was going to make the same suggestion as lurpygeek. If technically possible, only keep the "error indicator" working. Not normal status indicator.I would only turn it off on camera's inside my house. For the ones on the outside, I want them to work as a warning to possible intruders.
I see.
The Status LED option is only available to Reolink battery-powered cameras. If your camera is the battery-powered camera, you can turn off the status LED referring to Turn off/on Infrared Lights or Status LED via Reolink App.For other IP cameras, the status LED cannot be turned off at present, I will transfer your suggestion to our R&D staff and we will notify you if there is an update. Sorry for any inconvenience caused to you. Thank you for choosing Reolink.
Hi there,I just bought the C2-Pro. With the firmware which was installed I had the option to disable the STATUS LED.@Carl Now I did a firmware upgrade and the option is gone!Is there any other possibility to disable this LED? May be via cgi command Or can I downgrade to the old firmware? BRsRené
Sorry for the inconvenience. Could you please send an email to support@reolink.com? Our technical support will check it for you soon. Please also attach a firmware version screenshot of your C2 Pro. Refer to Find out System Information (Firmware Version) via Reolink App.
Yes, PLEASE add option to turn off Status LED on C1 Pro & C2 Pro!
Hi Roy,The status LED can be turned off through the firmware upgrade. You can go to the Download Center to upgrade the latest firmware for your devices. Then you can control the status LED of your cameras via Reolink software.
