Thanks so much for your feedback, could you please send an Email directly to support@reolink.com?We can provide the beta version to you. It makes an improvement.
Is there a way I can view all the cameras together like the iPad or Android devices with the 8.1.7 beta?
Found u=it by double clicking the image
Discovered a problem with Beta 8.1.7 today. I have two of the Original Argus cameras. Windows Client 7.2.2.33 can go into Playback mode on both of them. On Beta 8.1.7, the instant I click on "Playback", both of the Argus cameras disconnect. I can click on the "Retry" button, reconnect, and then perform Playback.Do not understand what would cause only the Argus cameras to disconnect when changing from Live View to Playback.Would be helpful if someone could validate if my observation is correct. Thanks
Thank you very much!If you have any suggestions, please feel free contact our support team. Then we will transfer it to our R&D team and then they will evaluate it.Thank you for supporting us again!Have a nice day.
That is a sensible suggestion. Posting here share with other users, but does not directly contact the R&D team.Perhaps Reolink would consider creating an email address specifically for beta software. That might help separate suggestions from more urgent requests ("I need help!")
I've been trying out beta 8.18 it's a huge improvement over the previous versions but I've spotted a couple of issues. If I click the "upgrade" link from "about" it always says "upgrade failed" if I click on the download link there it gives "access denied". Once this happens the live stream is no longer visible and I have to restart the client to get it to work.It also seems (unless I've missed something) there is no way to display the camera UID or disable UID support in the beta version. I have to still use the older 7.2.2.33 version to access these UID features.
It could be one of those "semantic issues". i.e. rather than report, "there is no update available because this is the latest version", the program stated the obvious (update filed) without reporting the reason.I get the same error on the Download Link:<Error>AccessDenied<Message>Access Denied</Message><RequestId>7ECE6181BB3A9BF6</RequestId><HostId>gYz62oeurAb9cZX/P/mtZcINqSS8SR+GJ5kBfMopdc9UAsaVVmXbOdb0rxe9YAiW+25YBBRDZtY=</HostId></Error>I see "UID" under a camera Settings, Network, Advanced. where it can be disabled.
AccessDenied
Odd, I don't see the UID setting on beta 8.1.18, see attached image.reobeta.jpg
Definitely looks like a bug to me. Perhaps because my cameras were set up using the original Client sofware using UID, I see an option to "disable" UID."Add a Camera" (box with plus sign) seems to find my UID's when it scans my network, and has an option to define a camera by UID. Wonder if that would enable monitoring a camera remotely through the cloud?UID.jpg
My camera had UID disabled in the older software (currently I only need to monitor the camera locally) and I initially added the camera in the beta by IP address.I reenabled UID in the old client software and then removed and added the camera by UID in the beta. I then selected "Get Info" on the camera and the UID were visible along with a QR code. The button to disable UID was also visible.I then disabled the UID in the network advanced box in beta and it could no longer access the camera. I removed and added it by IP address and it worked again. The UID is then no longer visible and neither is the button to enable UID.Yes, looks like a bug.
I haven't seen this mentioned, so I might just be missing the obvious, but I don't see a way to download footage from the playback tab, nor a way to adjust the stream setting from playback (recorded playback is always fluent, which is ok as far as I'm concerned, just an odd change)Loving how fast it is (from launch to all cameras populated) compared to the 7.x software, cameras by name instead of channel, saves camera sorting between sessions (when dealing with 33, soon to be 37 cameras, this is a big deal!), audio seems more reliable, menus and settings are way faster.
On Playback, drag at least one camera into the box. Click on the icon called "Timeline" (three arrows going right and left). At the top of the Timeline, there is a button for "Download".
Just installed the latest upgrade to the BETA app today. Will admit I've not used this app in some time, so I can't be sure what it was like before this upgrade. However, unless I'm simply missing it. I can't see anyway to view playback in clear quality.I select the Playback option and drag the camera/channel I want and can watch the recorded footage, but it's all in low quality and I can't see any quality setting.Has this been removed, or not added yet, or I am simply missing it and it's in a menu somewhere? Thanks.
Please launch Reolink client, then move your mouse to live stream page and right click the mouse. You will find the Clear/Standard/Fluent/Close option here. Please see the attachment.stream-mode.png
Thank you. However that only works for the "Live View" window.I was asking about the "Playback" window, which does nothing when you right click, and is not playing back in CLEAR.Is there anyway in this version to select CLEAR when you are playing back recorded footage?thank you.
On my Windows Client, opening the "Timeline" icon to select a recording to playback shows a pull down menu on the upper left."Fluent" is showing. Click on the down arrow and "Clear" appears.Does your Timeline show that?
One of the great new features in the Beta Client for Windows is that it automatically checks for new versions on startup.Today, KC Software SUMO (Software Update Monitor) told me that version 8.1.18 had been updated to 8.1.20. Strange. The app itself did not update itself. The manual update also failed. (Wish they had a better message than "Failed".) So, I ran SUMO again and now it says that 8.1.18 is the latest version.Guess for a short time there was a file at the Reolink download site that got pulled between the two times I ran SUMO.
You can choose the clear mode on the playback windows as the picture attached.playback-on-old-client.pngplayback-on-new-client.png
The latest version is 8.1.20.You can download the client from the link: https://reolink.com/us/software-and-manual/
