What kind of security cameras would be called as the next-generation ones? It must be one with smart detection. We are thrilled to announce that Reolink will soon release its first-ever IP cameras with the advanced person/vehicle detection, RLC-510A and RLC-810A. With the power of intelligent detection technology, users can enjoy peace of mind and get notified only when the important events that they truly care about happen. Note: These two smart cameras would be available for the public test later. Stay tuned!
Is any of this functionality going to be added to the other line of cameras such as the Rlc511 etc?
I'll be happy to purchase one of the new models to "see how it works."NOT holding my breath for a firmware revision on the older models.
Sincerely sorry, intelligent detection technology is currently only used in our latest cameras. We will forward your request to our R&D team, it will take time to evaluate the request and to implement it.You may subscribe to our emails to get the news: https://reolink.us13.list-manage.com/subscribe/post?u=c0cb1c1b65426a6d9b3609705&id=a9bc53daec.Thanks for your support of Reolink Product!
Is there any hint of a 5MP WiFi version of the new camera?I replaced all my 4MP cameras with 5MP, in large part to be able to disable the infrared LED, but also for the greater resolution. My lone remaining RLC-410WS is in a location where installing PoE cabling is nearly impossible. (It was hard enough to get a power cord there.) When there is "person detection" at 5MP with WiFi, I will order one the first day they are on sale.
We also don't know when the 5MP wifi version will have this function. But we have forwarded the request to our R&D team and they will pay close attention to it. Thanks in advance for your understanding.
