      It is very easy to upgrade the camera if you have downloaded the correct firmware for the camera/NVR.

      How to Upgrade The Cameras


      For the PoE and Wi-Fi wired cameras

      You can choose to upgrade the camera on the Desktop Client, Web Browser and PoE NVR.
      How to upgrade the camera on the Client?
      How to upgrade the camera on the Web Browser?
      How to upgrade the camera on PoE NVR? 

      For the battery cameras

      The firmware for the battery cameras is not available on our download center. You can upgrade the camera on the APP/Client.
      (1) Auto-upgrade
      Path: Model name(Device info)->Upgrade->auto-upgrade
      When there is a new firmware, it will push the new firmware to you on the APP.
       
      (2) Manual-upgrade
      If you don’t enable the auto-upgrade, you can upgrade manually. Just click the “Upgrade Manually” on the upgrade setting page.

       

      FAQs about upgrading the cameras

       
      1. Why auto-upgrade doesn't work on PoE/Wi-Fi IP cameras?
      The auto-upgrade feature will work on the PoE and Wi-Fi IP cameras with hardware version IPC_523XXX.
       
      2. Why auto-upgrade doesn’t work?
      The auto-upgrade feature is not available for all users now as we are still seeking a more reliable way to distribute the latest firmware to you.
       
      If you would like to upgrade your camera, you can visit our download center and download the latest firmware. If you can’t find the firmware for your camera, you can contact our support team to get the firmware.
       
      3. What should I do if the camera upgrade failed?
      If you fail to upgrade the camera, please try to troubleshoot according to this article.
       
      4. What should I do if I upgrade the camera with the wrong firmware?
      If you find that you upgrade the camera with the wrong firmware or your camera doesn’t work after you upgrade the camera, please contact our support team asap. Please submit a request here, https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.
