Thanks. Now.... for the truly retarded, a tutorial on using cgi with generic cameras, as it appears that Reolink supports only a subset of the common commands (correct?)

This is a document created by Reolink. So their cameras should support all the commands. But obviously they deactivated the usage of most of the commands for E1 outdoor and RLC 823a. And I want to know why and at which time they (re-)activate e.g. the PTZ commands via CGI. -

I solved my problem with PTZ control of Reolink E1 outdoor: the curl calls to PtzCtrl MUST be send to HTTPS and not to HTTP! Thanks to a user in Reddit who posted the correct curl call.
@Reolink: you should clearly document this because this is not obvious from your description of CGI API!

I've just recently received the RLC-823A and have been using it for 1 day/night. I also am experiencing people walking underneath the camera and not auto tracking, and having the camera (more specifically at night or in shaded conditions) focus on a parked car but thinking there is some motion.
I have another thing that seems odd to me, which is the motion detection notices a vehicle coming at the camera from the top of the screen, and follows it for a few degrees as it comes closer to the camera and then as it's almost off the bottom of the screen stops tracking it.
Is this beta testing still in progress?

Hello, i have the same issu with tracking a parked car, getting an alarm every 30 second the whole night, that is annoying, running the sa firmware as you, Seeom they did not fix this yet.
@reolink Will there be a fix? Or is there a firmware version that does not have tis error? - 17 days later

HI Reolink I have been testing the V3.1.1.1169_22091308_V.1.0.0.30 on my RLC-823A
I have found a few issues with the tacking now which are still causing random issues. Fist of all the cameras now and again will blind themselves with the flood light against the wall when trying to track people with the floodlight.
Also occasionally the cameras will track people, but if they are wearing grey it some times does not follow them. Lastly the cameras occasionally will detect a person walking to the left for instance then suddenly pan to the right, completely taking the person out of the shot.
Some of these examples I have posted here. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1vtbKqBCu3IfpA8pOeEG3uxXDkSmp1zDh?usp=sharingReply QuoteShare0- Share this Post

@martin-kistell_73972976554167 Thank you for your videos. To avoid the the light against the wall, we will add the tracking limit functions to the new firmware soon. With this function, you can set the range of the tracking. We will also optimize the tracking according to your videos.

I am writing to inquire about the current status of the beta firmware development. The tracking performance remains unsatisfactory, regardless of whether it is assessed in the beta firmware or the recent upgrade that purportedly enhances tracking capabilities.
