Would it be possible to set a boundary on the auto tracking. Possible set via rotational degrees or something.I have my cameras at the front of the house when it detects a person it will turn to face all the way down the street, and follow my neighbors right up to their front door. It would be very beneficial to set limit to auto tracking to say track up to 150 degrees at the left and 30 degrees to the right, then it stops tracking. My neighbor's a few doors down it tracks them In front of the house then turns all the way round right up to them entering their house at the side and they have complained. It would be good to set a limit how far the tracking can turn when tracking, so I could set it to stop tracking as they enter their front gate and stop following them.
@chuck_529633235447953 Fully agree, I have multiple instances where the camera has detected a person (usually a dog shitting), then as soon as they stop moving it goes straight back to guard position and all the video of them is lost. I have auto return set to zero purely because the tracking is not working great, often it will notice them at the edge of my guard area (say righthand side) and move the camera out of guard area (to the right) and the subject walks back into the guard area (on the left) with out detecting them and its facing the wrong way (still sat at the right hand side).
After downloading and testing on my RLC-823A`s, I take it that Horizontal Tracking Range and most of the other features are still not available to any of us using Reolink NVR`s? If this is the case I have to say i'm getting very disappointed with Reolink at this point, especially with regards to people who have invested in NVR`s and Reolinks ecosystem. We specifically requested this along time ago, not happy at all to be constantly at the back of the que.Back at the beginning of december we were told with RLC-823A & RLC-523WA Tracking Beta 4.0 Firmware, the Tracking range could not be used with users for NVR`s as a firmware would be coming soon. Now the client is out and still no update.
@reolink-fiona brilliant can't wait to test the new functionality on the RLC-823A . Thanks to the team for implementation of many of the suggestions put forward previously.
@big_ted I use IR floodlights separately for both my reolink cameras and turn off the cameras IR. There are numerous advantages to this first Its a lot easier to read number plates and less reflections on images. Secondly Spider webs are now no longer an issue, Id honestly say I have a 95% reduction in issues with spiders and webs. It may be down to them attracted to IR or just the camera no longer picks them up at night but a huge difference.
@reolink-fiona Thank you Fiona, so it's exactly what I said from the start . I know it's not your fault but the way Reolink put it's customer's who invest in your full setups at the back of the qué is not a good way to retain them or their goodwill, It would be nice to pass this on.
@md Thanks md, Yes I have the most recent version, which makes me think it may be a NVR Issue as I have also tested the web version using the IP address of my NVR.
@big_ted Front I have an IR flood light about 3 meters apart, Rear I have IR flood light around 2 meters apart.
Hi Fiona, you said previously in this thread "The new firmware of NVR will be released around the end of this month." So people with NVRs can access these features. Can we please get an update?
Good suggestion Albummi,There has been a request for similar before but not much reply to it.This would especially useful to compliment systems much like with laser trip alarms for drive ways and gate sensors. Which would activate the camera when a vehicle or person passes the sensor and trips the alarm / camera. especially useful for PTZ cameras that could immediately and automatically be directed to the position and record.
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 oh please spare me the waffle. It was promised back in December and promised more than a month ago. Nobody from Reolink are now responding to questions about it.So you claim it's now due in a few weeks, please point me to where that has now been stated then?
@reolink-fiona Can you please provide an update on this?
@reolink-fiona As all other threads have been ignored, ill try again. We were promised and NVR update towards the end of last month to fix the missing features on all other client versions for those of us with Reolink NVRS. Can you please inform us when the NVR firmware is going to be released that was promised to be released over a month ago and stop ignoring us.
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 This feature is not available if you are using an reolink NVR, Fiona promised there would be a new NVR firmware to fix this towards the end of last month and so far all comments asking for updates have been ignored and met with silence.
@reolink-fiona So when are we getting the New firmware for the NVR`s you promised us at the end of last month. There has been nothing but silence regarding this?
@bbugaski_390328908112013 Haha Yep it seems that she`s still there. Reolink you are seriously going to have to give some updates soon or your customers will be walking and I`ll be first at this rate.
@mikesixtysix_376026488033512 Don't worry we are just being ignored at this point, were were promised an update for the NVRs near the end of last month now silent. To be honest I'm now giving up on Reolink.
@martin-kistell_73972976554167 Any answer yet rather than ignoring me?
