Currently, you can connect our PoE cameras and Wifi wired cameras to the Google Assistant/Alexa. But for the cameras under the NVR, it is not possible at the moment.
If you do want to live view on the Google Home/Alexa for the cameras under NVR, use a PoE switch and you can realize this.Three Steps to Connect the Reolink Cameras under NVR to Google Assistant/Alexa
1. Connect a PoE switch to the same router that your NVR is connected to first. Then connect your camera under the PoE switch.
2. Add the cameras to the APP and NVR
For the APP:
You can scan the device in LAN or scan the UID code of the cameras and add the cameras to the APP.
For the NVR:
To add the cameras to the NVR, you may need to enable the “Auto-add” on the NVR monitor. You can follow this article to enable the function.

3. Connect the standalone cameras to the Google Assistant/Alexa in the APP.
Google Home:

Alexa:

In this situation, you can both connect the cameras to Google Assistant/Alexa and manage the cameras on the NVR.
Note: This method can’t be used for cameras in the NVR kits.

@reolink-fiona I have my cameras connected directly to the NVR and as you stated with this method you cannot simultaneously link with Google assistant. Are there any plans to make this work in the future?
-
@reolink-fiona any plans to offer this natively?
what about bandwidth limits? Can you still run 8 cameras over one NVR port?
why are kits excluded (sorry new to the reolink universe)?

Hi Fiona,
Thanks for sharing the solution.
I wonder if the NVR can connect to the same PoE Switch to which the cameras are connected, would it be possible?

Yes, you can add the camera as a standalone and connects it to the NVR if you connect the NVR and the camera to the same switch. -
@reolink-fiona
Thanks for the response, really appreciated it.
I have a concern regards to the video streaming performance. According to this article, it is recommended to have no more than 3 cameras.

Do you recommend putting the cameras and NVR on the same VLAN to increase the performance?
Cheers

I do have the following two devices and still have the same issue, if it's directly connected to the NVR it does not work.
E1 Outdoor PoE, HW No.: IPC_560SD88MP, FW V.: v3.1.0.1856_23030800
NVR RLN8-410, HW No.: N7MB01, FW V.: v3.3.0.226_23031632
