+1 for this integration

I just bought reolink camera today - I love it but now I will be returning it due it not having proper API support. I was looking to buy another 15 cameras but sadly won't be now
Please let me know if this changes and I will ahpppily come back -
I re-visit this thread about once a week, eagerly awaiting an update. I hope this feature gets the appropriate amount of attention to speed it to completion, as I now have an application for it that would immediately lead to purchasing a new camera. May end up using a less-suitable setup instead.

awesome, let me know if you need a beta testers!

Hi! I recently bought Argus 3 camera for main purpose to watch when im away from home, with blocked internet to cloud/to acess internet at all. I would like to know when is to expected to have support with Homeasistant?
Im also interested in testing beta if you enable support for methods to add to home asistant and such.
Thank you for reply. -
Concordo!
-
+1 for a proper 2-way API with triggers from Reolink being accessible by other systems
-
+1 For this request. Integration with solutions like Home Assistsnt would be a major factor in my personal choice of a camera ecosystem.
-
+1 go go go
-
+400 for this request.
i'm part of the developpement of the plugin Reolink (check on github: Jezza34000 > reolink) for the french home automation solution Jeedom and all the owners of the AI Reolink cameras (400), included me, are still waiting for this feature. -
Thanks for working on this application, I just got a new RLC-811A and it's something I'm really looking forward to integrating into Home Assistant.

@isabido_561967054172388 i have been using reolink AI detection in Home Assistant for 2 years and working good, not perfect but good. I have 2 811a, 4 510a and 4 B500(these only work in HA connected to the NVR) cameras and everything works in HA using a custom integration. Theres only 1 catch, you can not set them up using the NVR. the NVR only refreshes all at data when the camera in channel 1 detects movement. You need to set the cameras directly to the LAN using POE to them. that way they can be integrated in HA and have all sensors/switches(spotlight/siren/etc) and all commands including the option to zoom in/out. BTW in Home Assistant release 2023.1 they are adding an official integration for HA for Reolink cameras.

Nice! Hope to have it fast!!! +1+1+1

I would also like this feature.
-
+1 This would be a huge game changer for people using Home Assistant
-
+1 and..... can we get pet/animal detection working??
-
+1. Would be great if we could send Onvif trigger or send mqtt message when camera ai makes a detection.
-
+1 on this. Imagine the sales you guys can get if you do this API and have official integration with Home Assistant. I will switch back to using you guys as I need 8 more cameras.
-
+1 on this one, just started to integrate my new Reolink cameras in HomeAssistant, cant believe something simple as this is not supported, big disappointment
-
+1 integration really needed! Local network usability is the only reason I bought this camera. If I don't get this, I'll start looking somewhere else
-
@Reolink-Fiona Any updates in this topic? Can we expect new firmware ?

@t-maciek_382830390239374 I will update this topic when there is new API or Webhook support.
-
@reolink-fiona Please add support to send mqtt-messages with detection information when camera detects person/vehicle.
That will make it possible to integrate both Homeassistant and other systems. -
+1 for proper Home Assistant integration. I'm waiting to buy an NVR with 12 poe cameras
-
@jonas_3602 Yes! This is a great idea -- and possibly should be its own request/thread?
Third party integration support - AI detection - Home Assistant
