Hi all,I know that many of you have received the Duo 2 now. How to make good use of this 180°FOV camera? I will give you some tips about installation scenarios, settings, and more in this post.
1. Put the Duo 2 at the high position and point to a wide place like the garden, backyard, driveway, and more. 2. Put the record target at 3 meters away. The image can align better at this distance.3. Do not have reflective objects like walls on both sides to block the infrared light. If there is a wall on the sides, the wall may reflect the IR light and expose the video image.

Which position do you place for your Duo 2? You can post the picture in the comment!
1. Image Stitching(Settings>>Display>>Advanced>>Image stitching)We know that the wide image is to connect two images from two lenses. So sometimes it may not align well. This image stitching setting is to align the image better. If you find that the two images are not aligned, you can use this setting to adjust.Distance: Fine-tune the distance to achieve the best effectThe distance setting means that the image can align the image in the best effect. It is 8m at default. We don’t recommend adjusting this setting. Positions: Fine-tune the image's horizontal/vertical positionsHere are the before-and-after pictures to show the differences before and after adjusting the position.
2. Work like a one-lens camera: Settings will be unifiedDuo 2 is not like Duo and it is just like a one-lens camera. So their settings will be unified. For example, you can set up to four privacy masks for Duo 2 just like the one-lens camera while the Duo set privacy masks for two lenses separately.
APP/ClientYou can view the 180° panoramic on the APP/Client in single/multiple views. Not stretch in Client multiple viewsIf you find that your Duo 2 image stretch in multiple views, you can try to upgrade your Client to the latest version Client v.8.8.1. We have changed the stretch image of the Duo 2 in multiple views from Client v8.7.3. App & Client - Reolink NVRDuo 2 will only occupy one channel of the NVR. For the NVR with H3MB18, N2MB02, and N3MB01, after the upgrade, the NVR can live view up to 6MP. So if you want to view the Duo 2 in the NVR, you can set the mainstream resolution as 4096*1536. For the NVR with hardware versions N7MB01, N6MB01, and N5MB01, you can view the 8MP image of the Duo 2 in NVR/APP/Client.How to expand the Duo 2 in two windows:Click the below “change the image” button and you can expand the image.Edit: Only available with the NVR with hardware versions H3MB18, N2MB02, and N3MB01 in the latest firmware version on our download center. For the RLN36, the NVR is still testing and it will be put on the download center soon. Stay tuned!
1. If the Duo 2 Wifi connected to the NVR doesn’t have a stable loading, you can try to change to the 5GHZ Wifi.2. If the AI detection doesn’t work well at night, please try to contact our support team to have the new firmware solve the issue. This firmware will also be uploaded to the download center soon.

Regarding the "expand the Duo 2 in two windows" option:On my NVR (RLN36 - Hardware N5MB01) I don't see a "Change the Image" button on the Duo2 camera page. I see the "Spotlight" button, and then the "Sound Alarm" button and then the "Camera Settings" button. (There is no button between the Alarm and Settings buttons)My Duo2 Firmware is 3.0.0.1033_22060900My NVR Firmware is 3.0.0.181_220521629There aren't any firmware updates available on the main page for either the Duo2 or RLN36.I currently can't even SEE the camera in any multi-window view on the NVR --- only when I click for solo view of the camera.
Reolink Duo Solar Powered is an Awful Camera , i have had 2 cloudy days and the battery is at 10 percent after being fully charged to 98 % so l have to lower all the Sensor recording to medium and lower. They should have added an extra battery in it or advertise it a Summer only Camera. Waste of money
