In software we never say we are complete as there is always room to enhancements. It merely depends on one's imagination. So we started with one camera being triggered by an object and somehow wondering what is happening in front of the other cameras which haven't yet been triggered.

Many customers are asking for more automation whereby they need to have the facility to take further action once one of the camera has been triggered. For example, if camera A has been triggered they want to start recording on camera B and Camera C and have their sirens and spotlights ON.

This can be implemented as part of the application or be a free cloud based IFTTT service which connects our Reolink account to our smart home devices so that they interact in the ways we want them.

Is Reolink thinking of implementing automation on their cameras? Any dates? Competitors already have such automation. You need to act.

@reolink-fiona You're welcome. Please press development team to close the gap with other suppliers. In this forum members come up with wonderful ideas. And of course they are eager to see them implemented and not just written down.

@reolink-fiona Local MQTT and Webhooks support would be ideal for this, to enable home smart automations. Like if Camera A triggers movement detection, other cameras D and F, can be triggered to record, or turn on a spotlight, or trigger sirens. I have farm Garages and Sheds where if a garage or shed door opens, I want to trigger Camera recording, outdoor spotlights, Indoor lighting and notification on my phone only if 2 area are accessed. Theres too many alerts from false positives, and often i want alerting ONLY IF certain complex conditions occur. Reolink can't do all this, so offering MQTT integration enabling it to talk with other devices through a common protocol would be a key advantage!

@home_198034626125963 I already suggested Reolink to start thinking about MQTT but so far had no reply of any commitments. Competitors already offer it. Their IFTTT is simple but hopefully it will get complex.
