    Client & app can't playback recordings from last year

      Hi and Happy New Year to all!

      Quick bug report. It's the 1st of Jan 2023 and I can't play recordings on my NVR from last year up to and including yesterday using either my mobile (Android) or laptop (mac). The recordings are there, the disk is not full, and I can playback anything that was recorded today. Pressing play from either my android app or the Mac client (v8.8.1) does nothing.

      I am however able to get onto the system via my web browser, and can access recordings made last year (eg yesterday) through that!

      Not a huge issue for me - I just wanted to find and save video of a delivery being thrown over our fence - but thought I should mention it as well as note if anyone else has the same problem that you may be able to get the old recordings by logging onto the NVR using a web browser.

          Not sure if yours is different or not available, but there is a drop down option to switch date to previous year.

            @big_ted Thanks - yes, from the client I can actually go to any day I want, but when I click on the play button the icon briefly swirls and then goes back to the play icon.

              @reolink_243949053128894 All videos are in the NVR and so whatever application you use they all access the same source files. Did you try to play it through the NVR directly? I noticed that the firmware seems to be old but to verify that we need the hardware version. You can check whether you have the latest version by visiting reolink download centre. Are you able to ftp files from the NVR to your MAC?

                Like I said, I can download the videos to my mac via the web client, but not via the mac or android clients. As I only needed to get the one video, and was able to do so, it doesn't worry me anymore - I was just letting people know in case it happened to anyone else. I haven't tried playing it via the NVR directly as that is incredibly painful (I run it headless in my comms area, so need to hook up a monitor etc). It is possible that the firmware is old, although I have in the past found it difficult to locate the latest version for my NVR. I'll go and have a check now but FWIW the Hardware No. is H3MB16.

                Update - found a slightly newer version of the firmware (released 15 Nov 22). Now on v2.0.0.280_21060101. Didn't fix the issue for me though. Ah well. Again, it doesn't worry me as I got what I needed via the web browser but just mentioning this if anyone comes across the same problem in case it helps.

                  @reolink_243949053128894 I don't have that NVR and subsequently cannot say if it is a specific NVR issue. Can you please report it to the Reolink support?
