      Why have cloud prices doubled? Data storage prices have dropped, not risen. At least provide a way to store video on our local networks, so we can "suffer the higher costs of storage" ourselves.

      I can no longer recommend your cameras at these cloud costs.

            @joseph-chircop_497308027822318 ftp does not work with battery-powered cameras, unless something has changed.

              @neverbob_211767671742603 I was not aware of what model you have. Yes, ftp is not implemented on battery operated cams.

                Why can't you use micro sd card?

                  @jedi2020_32727772450952 i can, but off camera storage is more secure.

                  Why can't anyone answer my original question?

                    @neverbob_211767671742603 Hi, the price changed because the cost of cloud storage increased. We can not afford to offer users low costing cloud services anymore. However, we will release a local storage device as a cloud alternative in 2023. Please stay tuned.

                      @reolink-fiona Thank you Fiona.
                      Looking forward to the Local Storage support. Hopefully things like Synology will be included.

                        Speaking of storage, Reolink should consider a NVR lite product - NVR without PoE ports. That makes the product smaller, cheaper and power efficient. As you are aware, many reolinkers use PoE switch to connect their camera while using NVR to record 24x7 in order to make their cameras standalone. So there is a market for it.

                          @jedi2020_32727772450952 especially after they launch the poe switch. They need to offer both and let the customer chose as per his/her requirements.

                            @jedi2020_32727772450952 Thanks for the suggestion. Our engineering is reviewing the feasibility of implementing this idea. Thank you sincerely for sharing your thoughts!

                            I was about to post the same thing ! Plan is double for my 2(two) Argo 2 cameras to $70.00 ;
                            I have web sites with more data storage for less than $70/Year - so the argument to double the cost for cloud is not valid.
