I have this RLC-811A for around 1,5 year. Working fine until the day before yesterday. At around 11PM something was making a strange noise. I didn't know what it was, so I went for the hunt. After 10 minutes I found out what it was. I never heard this sound before. It was the noise and after the noise, it was quiet for 15-25 seconds. It was my RLC-811A. Because I wanted to sleep, I just pulled the network cable out op my POE+ switch (5 ports ZYXEL POE+ switch, 2 other Reolink camera's are connected with this switch).
The next morning, working day, I went to my switch and I switched ports with another camera. The RLC-811A won't boot up, the other camera booted up without any problems.
After 12-14 hours I plugged in the RLC-811A, I got a message from the app a new camera was detected (the RLC-811A), it received a factory reset, because everything was back to 0, except the SD card was not formatted. I installed the camera again with the settings from before and it kept on working untill a few minutes ago. The same noise from the same camera. I opened Reolink Client and the camera did not show any image. I made a sound clip that I uploaded to Files.fm:
      https://files.fm/u/fzzdxepxk#/view/j5gphx9hk

      Latest firmware: check

Anybody know what the problem might be?

@gaël-vanhuynegem_409453155840166 I have four 811a installed, I like them. During the 2021 winter when it got very cold, zero and below, one of them sometimes disconnected during the night and made the same sound as yours. When it warmed up a little during the day I could reconnect it. In the Spring, Summer, Fall it worked fine. Then this winter when it got very cold, it started disconnecting again sometimes making the same noise. I decided to just buy another 811a and replaced the one that had cold disconnections. My other three 811a have worked fine in cold, don't know why one struggled. But freezing temps may not be your problem, it could be disconnecting for another reason. Did you water protect the cable ends when you installed it? The ethernet cable, reset button and low voltage power option need to be protected from moisture or the cam can short out. In the install guide it says to protect these cable ends from moisture. Some use junction boxes, others silicone tape or put the cables up inside the soffit when possible. If yours is still under warranty you could contact Reolink for replacement, I decided to just keep mine for parts. I've had good performance from my Reolink cams in freezing temps below their specs rating except for the one 811a. My Reolink battery cams keep working in freezing temps but as with any battery they don't charge well below freezing, I bring them in to warm up to charge.

@gaël-vanhuynegem_409453155840166 Can you check whether you have sealed correctly the reset button? Maybe you have moisture and is keeping the firmware in cyclic reload. Try to spray some contact cleaner.

Hope you opened a Support ticket with ReoLink. That is the setup "ding" noise. It seems like your camera has failed and is in a reboot loop. If as the other comment said about all the connections being clean then it is internal to the camera.

Thank you all for your answers. I sealed the network port, but not the reset button and power input. The camera is outside, but under a roof. It could be moisture indeed.
The camera is still in warranty. I will see what the camera will do in the next few weeks and maybe contact Reolink support.
