Is there a way to search for a Motion alert? I'm getting an email when Motion is detected, but in the Playback for the camera, I'm not seeing an alert. If I set the camera to just record for Motion, I see these recordings, but I would like to see or be able to search for Motion alerts only. I have my cameras recording 24/7, with Motion alerts set to send an email for just one camera currently until I can figure out how to find any Motion that may have occurred overnight. I have downloaded the latest firmware for NVR, cameras, and Win 7 PC software as of available today.
Hi, you may find this guide useful-https://reolink.com/faq/check-motion-triggered-events-constant-recording/
This only works when standing at the NVR site, using the local NVR login. I'm looking to be able to search for Motion Alerts using the PC software, from any remote site where I have a PCs running Win 7 software. I can be anywhere with my laptop with internet access, but Video Type search list does not include Motion for the Windows software. Why not add this function to the Windows remote access software? There are already other choices in the Video Type search, just add Motion!!!!!!! No-Motion-Search-Type.jpg
This is needed in the Mac/PC software.
I'm hoping that they will add this feature to any upcoming updates. Need more people to request this feature for PC software users.
Bob,This feature is needed for the PC software!!!!Do you know if this is this feature will be added to any PC client updates?
It's good to have feature.
Yes, it would be a very good feature to add to the PC software playback search types. I hope someone from Reolink would respond!!!
I guess the entire REOLINK team are nwt based in CES booth 43555
Definitely need the feature to search for motion or at the very least highlight the section of the recording that contains motion. If you are away from your home and the camera picks up motion you should not have to wait to get back to the DVR to see if it was something to be concerned about. You need to be able to locate the video quickly and act immediately if there is a concern.
No one from Reolink seems to care about this feature.
Your request has been collected. Engineering is reviewing the feasibility of implementing this idea. We’ll schedule to implement the request if it’s accepted. Otherwise it goes to the suggestion pool and may be reactivated if others make similar requests again. Thank you sincerely for sharing your thoughts. We will take your request seriously and work hard to make our products better~
Bob, thanks for the follow-up answer. We hope this feature will be added to the PC software, along with the phone app. Looking forward to any and all enhancements in the software release. So far the system has worked great (except for the Motion searches) and installation was extremely easy. I manage several different systems (6) at my workplace and I got to say this small 8 channel system blows them all away. All future purchases for replacement systems will be Reolink hardware. Even on a couple of my future constructions projects, I have advised our engineering, consulting firms, and IT support companies to look at your system, since I will have to manage them once construction is completed.
This is what I like about REOLINK team; they are constantly doing their jobs to satisfy customers with their updates!Kudos!

I agree that this needs to be addressed in a near-future release. I believe this is a must-have for any security camera software.
This is an important feature for me since I'd be recording 24/7. Ideally, it'd be viewable in the web interface not just the Windows/Mac client software. It could be something as simple as a list of the events. One for each camera. The user double-clicks on each event and the video starts playing from the time index. This is one key thing holding me back from getting a Reolink NVR.For now, I could set up a local FTP server at home and have each camera record the motion events to it, which would at least make it easy to browse through. But if I wanted to see just before or after an event, I'd have to manually go and find it in the 24/7 recordings. So still not ideal.
Adding another vote for this feature. In my opinion this is the only downfall of my Reolink system. What's the point of having alerts with 24/7 recording if it will take hours to find when the motion was detected?
What's the status of this request? It's such a basic feature of a CCTV system it's actually ridiculous we have to ask for it,let alone beg for it.
Seems they don't care about customer feedback.
