Video Doorbell - person detection is busted.

Getting person detection events for cars moving across the frame at a distance but a person doing the same isn't detected. Created a mask to mask out the road and still getting the same detections. Unless this is a bug, person detection is pretty useless and will need to be moved off camera as it's far too unreliable in the current state.2View 1 replies-

@reolink-lorenz please put a FULL STOP on selling the doorbells. We are NOT ALPA/BETA testers. We are paying customers and shouldn't be treated as testers. I DEMAND MY MONEY BACK ON 2X WIFI DOORBELLS. ALSO WE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PUT IN REQUESTS FOR STANDARD BASIC FEATURES THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ADDED BEFORE RELEASING TO CONSUMERS SUCH AS SIP/VOIP POPUP CALL SCREEN, EASY TO UNDERSTAND NOTIFICATION LOG THAT WHEN CLICKED TAKES RIGHT TO NOTIFICATION RECORDED VIDEO AND NOT HAVING TO WATCH ALMOST ALL OR ALL OF 5 MIN CLIP JUST TO SEE ACTUAL VIDEO OF NOTIFICATION.

@joseph_1979 @Reolink-Lorenz I'm having this same problem. When I walk right in front of the doorbell, motion is detected but person is never triggered. I have a 1 second delay set.
Visitor is triggered when I ring the doorbell.

@user_684184404328677_684184404328677 What is your setting on smart detection under Alarm Settings? You also need to select persons under Record (if recording on SD) and push/email notifications.
