24/7 recording RLC-410-5MP
-
Hello
Why is removed in new firmware (with HTML5 support) 24/7 recording to FTP in RLC-410-5MP ?
My cameras need new firmware without FlashPlayer, but this firmware doesn't have this option.
This option is only in new model RLC-510A, why? -
Is this true? This will break ALL my camera use cases.

(Having no User Manual, I am left to wonder) What is the meaning of the "Timer" option on FTP recording?
see picture attached.
My camera is set to record "Motion" all day. I would think that "Timer" might mean record whenever the hour is "Blue"?
There are only three choices, Motion, Timer, and None. Pretty obvious what Motion and None mean.

The interesting part is mine only has 'motion' now. So if timer is indeed to allow 24x7, it isn't there.
-
How strange. My app is 8.1.28 and the firmware on my two RLC-410-5MP are
Build 20121100
Hardware IPC_51516M5M
Config. v3.0.0
Firmware v3.0.0.136_2121100
Details IPC_51516M5MS10E1W0110000001 -
What else is interesting is I can still set timed recording in the app. I hope this is an oversight and they'll add it back in to the web based browser.
-
Correct. I had not checked the web interface.
* Windows Client 8.1.28 has Motion, Timer, None
* Camera web interface has Motion, None (no Times).
Obviously, if the Client actually "works", then the camera is capable of doing 24/7 FTP capture.
What is 'broken' is not the basic camera firmware, but the camera web interface.
Of course, if the Client setting fails to result in 24/7 FTP capture, then.... oh, my. -
We are sorry for the issue caused. Could you please contact our support team at support@reolink.com? They may have a check with the engineers and help you solve the problem.
-
The Timer means recording all the time. 7*24 hours a week.

Mine seems to be working okay after setting again in the app.

Why wouldn't you just file a bug? Why push this off to a customer? -
We will report this issue to our R&D team, but it may take some time for our engineers to test and fix the problems. During this process, we may need some help from the customers. Also, if there is any progress, it is more convenient to contact our customers via email in the support ticket.

Yes, this option missing in the Web interface. I bought Reolink cameras, because have a best Web interface and is capable to DIY. I have three cameras on PoE switch and recording to FTP server.
