+1 for Linux App!
Linux Client please, the browser is just not enough to work effectively and download content from the camera's. The windows client is fine but Im dual booting just to be able to use it
I would love a Linux client as well!
+1 for Linux App. I have 2 Reolink Cams and wait for Linux Support.
Also would love Linux Client App. Browser is not smooth enough. Live in GA. Got 2 NVRs and 12 cameras with the option to add up to 12 more.
+1 for a Linux client please!I have tried to use Wine and Bottles, but this didnt do the job...What I want is to get the IP address of my camera without using a router
I have 8 Reolink cameras for monitoring my house and officeI have a windows PC with Windows 10 but soon Windows 10 won't be supported and PC does not support WIndows 11So either you release a Linux Application or I have to throw away all Reolink cameras and replace with another brand that actually supports Windows
+1 for Linux Client
2023 and still no linux app, it's a joke! ahahah! You can always dream for me to buy again a reolink product! Waiting for to long time! Hahahaha!!
Most people here don't necessarily even need a fully fledged linux client. A simple way to access our files through one of the standard protocols out there (HTTP(s), SSH, FTP; any will do) would satisfy the needs of over 80% of the *nix users, and won't be limited to Linux in its scope.Just let us pull our files, and we will do the rest. I'd rather not run 3rd party closed-source software anyway.
You can managed your camera with vlc or mplayer with command likemplayer rtsp://login:pass@192.168.1.xxx/h264Preview_01_mainand record video stream with command like thesemplayer -dumpstream rtsp://xxxxxxx -dumpfile my_file.oggBut it's clearly an anachronism to not find a linux app for an ordinary product like a camera! Today you can find Space X source code on github, and if you want to run a simple Reolink camera, you have to spend many time to bypass a nasty software to have some simple features! ?????!!!
Linux client please, hey reolink - if your devs switch to Qt framework the same code will work for Linux/win/mac with no changes !
+1 for linux client
hello,do you plan to take care of your Linux customers?Best regardsFrank
An SSH login would be nice but I don't think it's necessary. Updates and configuration are also possible via the web interface (HTTPS). The cameras send the videos to the server via SFTP. The live view is a little more complex. But it works via RTSP and ffmpeg (on the server). With a little bit of tinkering you only need an HTML5 video tag to play the videos. What doesn't work is zooming or rotating. The web interface must be examined for this. It generates an access token after login, so everything can be accessed via HTTP requests. But I was too lazy to program it until now.
I'm also interested in Linux support.
+1 for linux support. The current web version is not sufficient. As other have said, doesn't even have to be fleshed out. Just support the basic functionality, so that the community can do the rest. Alternatively just make the web version useable. Full CLEAR support, downloading more than 5 mins, etc
2024 still no Linux client. What a pity.
