I'm getting a new pc in next couple of days. On current one, I'm still using Windows 7, and Reolink app is working fine. I just have a question. Can I import settings and cameras to fresh installed Reolink app on windows 10?
HI! Yes, you can do that. You just need to download the pc client here: https://reolink.com/software-and-manual/ and then add the camera onto the pc client with the uid.
I don't remember, do I need to lookup UID number on cameras or will they show in Reolink client?
UID's show in the Windows Client. Good idea to record them before swapping PC's.The new Windows Client will scan the network looking for Reolink cameras.Found all of mine, but I was not concerned because I have all the UID's saved in a text file.(would not want to be climbing a ladder to physically reach cameras!)
I successfully managed to install W10, new Reolink client and add all cameras. On this new client, is there really no pause button on playback? And what does "advanced frame by frame" mean? I clicked it, the video stopped and I don't know how to play it again.
On Windows Client 8.1.28, it appears that the "Frame by Frame" icon performs the "Pause" function. To resume playing, I clicked the icon to the right, selected a speed, and play resumed.
On Windows 10 the only icons I have are Timeline, Advance frame by frame, Volume and Fulscreen.
The same in Mac Client 8.1.28: after clicking the frame by frame icon, there is no way to resume playing.
I discovered that my Windows Client, v8.1.28, behaves differently for RLC cameras and for my Argus (original battery powered) camera. The RLC camera Playback has all buttons (see attached image). The Argus camera Playback does not have the "Speed" button that the RLC cameras use to resume playback. My 'guess' is that the Argus camera was not programmed for different speed playback, which caused the speed button to be left off.Looks like a definite programming error.playback.jpg
Sorry for the inconvenience. We will add the pause function for playback in the next client version. Please be patient and wait for the next version.
We release the new Client 8.2.0 on our website https://reolink.com/software-and-manual/ a few days ago, you can have a check.
