@reolink-fiona All of the PoE cameras look interesting to me, but I'm not expanding my system until I can get it working properly with Home Assistant. There is a new integration, but it is not working well with my NVR, and there seem to be some serious limitations. I'd really love to see camera AI event webhooks -- and even better, direct mqtt support!
An update a few months ago dangled the possibility of cameras (and, hopefully, NVRs!) getting the ability to make an HTTPS (that is, web) request to a custom URL when an AI event triggers. This would be incredibly useful for my home automation. Is there any news on this?
@reolinkshaylaWhat happened to the possibility of webhook support?
@t-maciek_382830390239374Not only are there no updates, but — the blatant spam reply didn't get removed. I guess Reolink doesn't care about this forum (let alone features).
@reolink-fiona Any news on webhooks or MQTT?
Can you explain what "standalone use" means? Is this whether you're using it with an NVR?
I would like the option for smart detection (and clear) to trigger a webhook. That webhook could carry a JSON payload with the various unique information -- whatever you choose to make available.
@joseph_1979 Can you also remove the spam posts above?
@joseph_1979 Thank you! Please keep asking for us!
Any word on webhooks in the firmware? I can't get onvif to work reliably for some reason, and FTP and email are very 1990s.
@reolinkshaylaAny news on firmware improvements? It'd be nice to have webhook for AI detection, and amazing to have mqtt. I've never gotten the Home Assistant integration working well, and am thinking of switching brands entirely.
@reolinkshaylaWhat is the integration with Home Assistant like?
@jhoggardw_241809056227551Have you checked manually for new firmware? The on-device "check for new firmware" for some reason does not always have the actual latest.
