Does anyone know if it is possible to have person detection during the day and any motion at night? From what I am see / work out you can't.
@joseph_1979 yeah. Not sure why but it works on both my e1 outdoor and 510wa
@joseph_1979 Just to update you and anyone that has this issue. Reolink have given me some money back as compensation for the issue on 2/3 year old cameras. They have said they are still looking into it. And it's not a time zone / server syncing issue. As a temporary work around for summer time I have chosen the Rome, Paris time zone so now my notification and playback work as they should. I will just have to change it back in winter.
I have seen other cameras that use a detection if something crosses a line, rather than the greying out an area. Is this something that reolink could implement?Trying to grey about a boundary but still get early notifications is difficult. A crossing of a line would be really useful when marking out boundaries.
@joseph_1979 Just thought I would update you / anyone else who may have this issue.I have been in contact with Reolink support, gone through tests, sent videos of the issue, they have for some reason taken it up with the RMA team? Who have come back to be and offered me £10, so I am not sure if its just a sorry gesture for any inconvenience and they are still going to look into it, or that they think that its a camera issue and are giving up on it. I have responded to say that I have multiple cameras that do the same, and I don't think its a camera issue and will they still be looking into it as I don't think me replacing the cameras with newer ones will solve it.
@joseph_1979 I know this thread is old / been a while.Notifications still aren't working as it should and won't open notifications that are 5 to 60 minutes old. I have the latest firmware installed on the cameras as well as the latest google app from Fiona's recent post. I have tried to look into it and have come across the attached images below:My phone shows the time as GMT +01:00, which it is.In the Reolink app it shows the time as GMT 00:00, which explains why when I open an older notification which is say 1 hour 30 mins old, it will try to open a notification that is only 30 mins old.Unfortunately the app just says synced with phone and although it says you can change it, I don't seem to be able to change the time. Could this be flagged to be looked into?
@joseph_1979 Ahh. Yes I am on a different network, makes perfect sense, thank you for your response.
@neil_chaplin_is_450076909830276 Joseph, I have installed the latest app (8.11) it is still not retaining clear or fluent views when you go into a camera. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, deleting directories and reinstalling, I don't seem to be able to reproduce what you were able to do to resolve this. Did support come back with any other information?
My favorite is my E1 Outdoor, good resolution with pan, tilt and zoom. Although some of the new 4k and night ones look interesting.
@joseph_1979 I tried deleting user data as suggested and it still not saving the stream settings. On another note, I have put the lock screen and boot up password on. It darkens the image down but you can still see the image and time in the background, it's not very private. Should it not black it out completely.
@joseph_1979 Thank you for flagging this with support.I have also tested it on my home PC, which I updated from 8.8.2 to the current and it works as it should. The second PC that I described from before I just installed the new 8.10, so it would appear that coming from a version that would save it to the current it works and if it was a new install it does not work. I did go through all the system registry files and removed reolink and reinstalled and just the local AppData and it still didn't work, I will try also the roaming to see if that sorts it out.
Mine won't save the stream at all. If I load the program, double click that camera to go to full size and change the stream, then go to another camera and do the same thing, when I go back to the first camera its back to fluent?
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 Thank you for your reply. I believe I am on the latest app for android, 4.36.0.4.20230313. My cameras are an E1 Outdoor which is on firmware v3.1.0.804 (not the latest but I prefer the pet detection). And a RLC-510WA. When in the android app, looking at the time, it says that it is synced with the phone. It will work perfectly when we are in winter and the time is +1 hour
I mention this every year but nothing ever seems to happen, unless I am the only one.I live in the UK, when its British summer time, BST (now) and I get a notification, when you load it it always plays the live stream. Both of my cameras are set to / showing the correct time, does anyone else have this living in the UK?
Amazing, every time I suggest it or ask for the pet detection I get told that the E1 range can't do it and won't do it because its only 5mp .Have even said that I was sent a test firmware that had it in and was told no!
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 Can you, I didn't think / haven't found a way of having different schedules for each detection type. You can only set the schedule and then tick which detection type you want.
It would be nice to have pet detection in your other cameras. Posts on here and when I query it I am told by Reolink that only your 8mp cameras have / will have the pet detection.I have an E1 Outdoor (5mp), I was sent a firmware that has pet detection and it works really well. I asked for the latest firmware to see what was new and the pet detection has been removed. When I asked why I get the same response, we don't do pet detection for cameras other than the 8mp, which is clearly wrong as I was sent it for my E1 Outdoor. So not sure why they insist they won't or that they haven't.
It would be nice to be able to choose the type of detection based on time, i.e during the day person detection and during the night any motion. This could be by a simple colour which could quadrant if you have more than one colour selected for a square.Similar to above it would also be handy to be able to choose different areas for different alerts, red any motion, blue people, green cars, etc. If you want them to overlap you could.
I have also noticed this with the RLC-510WA on the latest firmware - v3.1.0.764_21121712. Before updating the firmware I was able to access it through a browser, not sure if any other camera models also do this certificate error. (My E1 Outdoor on the latest firmware v3.1.0.804_22012406 I can still access through a browser).
I have set up the camera so that it e-mails me with any motion late at night and it works. But quite often the clip is so short (seems limited to 1Mb only) that it misses what is about to happen.I did then look to see what was recorded in playback but nothing is there. I have looked at the settings again, my camera is set to record people 24/7 but not motion otherwise it would fill up the SD card pretty quick. Is there a way of setting to record different things at different times? i.e if I want to have motion between 00:00 and 06:00 and then people from 06:01 to 23:59? If there isn't can this be added, either by some sort of colour coding in the schedule or when you set the times in the day set that to what you want, motion, people, cars, pets as it would be helpful.
