@joseph_1979 08:30 this morningBoth monitors were turned off last night, but both HP and Dell left with Reolink Client running. When switched back on this morning:HP pc - 822A display was 5 secs lagging, but 822A and 1210A both spot on.Dell workstation - all 1 sec lag
@joseph_1979 Further info @ 17:30On HP, 2 cameras (1210A and 833A are 6 secs lagging, 822A is 1 sec laggingOn Dell, more or less the same.No restarts or re-boots occurred since this morning. No updates done (either Windows, or Reolink Client or cameras.)If the issue is with the Client, what's the solution?Network sketch.
@joseph_1979 08:30 this morningHP is showing correct time on 2 cameras, but 7 second lag on one (the 1210A)Dell workstation is 1 sec lag on all 3.
@joseph_1979 Just got back (21:30).Reolink Client on the HP had shut down at some point. Don't think this was any sort of PC re-boot as Reolink is set to run on PC start up. So, possible just a Reolink crash of some sort.On the Dell workstation - all still running and still with 5 -6 secs lag. So, as you say, lag is consistent, although it takes a while to manifest. No idea what's causing the lag, but it is still an issue for me. Makes using the cameras for live monitoring useless. The jump to catch up a couple of seconds is also not good. One, or more of he cameras will be lagging, say 6seconds, then pause for a second or two, then jump forward to be 6 seconds behind again.Someone can be at the front door, ring the bell and be walking away again, before we can see who it is.
@joseph_1979 20:00 hrs. Just checked from afar using the iOS app on my phone, and that's lagging by 2 to 4 seconds, depending on which camera I look at.But that could just be slow internet.
@joseph_1979 12:30 and they are both lagging by 6 seconds.I'm away now until late tomorrow night, so I'll leave them running and see what's happened when I get back.
@joseph_1979 09:00 next morning and they're both still within a second.
@joseph_1979 6 hours later @00:14 - HP is 1 second behind and Dell is spot on.
@joseph_1979 HP pc ended up having a forced re-start of the Reolink Client just now .............. it crashed!
@joseph_1979 Priority of all Reolink process changed from normal to high on the HP pc.Haven't re-started the Client yet, so still 5 to 6 secs behind. In the last 2 or 3 hours, the Dell workstation has gone back to being 5 to 6 seconds behind again! So I've done the same on that one, but have re-started Reolink so we can see if there's any differences.
Last reply a couple days ago:Sorry for this happened, we already forwarded your feedback to the relevant department, but currently, we have no better solution for this issue. Or do you have any good idea or solution you want?
@joseph_1979 Strangely, this morning, the monitor on the HP is still 5 to 6 seconds lagging, but the monitor on the Dell workstaion is back to 1 sec behind. As above: This has got to be something to do with the way the image on the camera is being transmitted from the camera, through the Client to the PC.

If I were to restart the Reolink Client, the displayed preview (and therefore time) would become correct again. The cameras "know" what the correct time is (as seen in my screen shot a couple hours ago), but after a while, the displayed preview (and therefore time), is lagging. i.e. if I exit a door, the display shows me exiting the door several seconds later, but at the correct time.Turning the monitor/tv on or off has no effect.PS, I still can't post more frequently than every 600 seconds for some reason???
@nickburt218 Did you check the time through the Android application when it shows a delay of 6s on the PC (you may use the Webui from same PC)? The display time is the one produced by camera. Is NTP enabled on cameras? Is port 123 allowed through your BB router?
On the IOS app on my 'phone, the displayed time is correct. Same for Webui on the same pcNPT is working though port 123 - all attempts to synchronise the time are successful.
@nickburt218 Good. And you are running v8.8.5 right? Yes.But, both left running for the last 24 hrs and both ahve a 5 - 6 second lag, and sometimes freeze for a couple of seconds, then jump to catch up to 4 or 5 seconds lag.Cameras are syncing every 60 secs.PCs sync once a day. However, Client time is same as pc time, but displayed time is the one that's lagging:
@joseph_1979 Yes, pcs and cameras are on the same network. 2 of them via 2 layer 2 switches, one via just one.So far, the lag hasn't re-occurred. I'll keep an eye on it and if it does, check via the IOS app on my 'phone and iPad.
@joseph_1979 This morning, the HP was fine. TV was switched off last night and back on this morning. The Dell workstation had frozen the display for all 3 cameras at around 01:30 (monitor had been left switched off) and recording stopped at 06:00 (is set to record in 10 min chunks.. Had to reboot Reolink Client to get it all working again. This is something that wouldn't normally get noticed as the workstation is usually just left to get on with what it does, unless something is needed.
@nickburt218 it seems that the time lagging is somehow caused by the 64bit client. What's the CPU usage when using 8.8.5?
5 hours later and there's a 6 second lag on the HP that's only streaming. The other workstation that's recording is fine - 1 second lag.CPU usage on the HP is fluctuating between 27 and 28%On the Workstation (while recording continuously) cpu usage is a similar 27 - 28%.PC doing the streaming:HP EliteDesk 800G2 (i5-6500T @ 2.5Ghz, 8GB RAM, Win 11Pro N (22H2) OS build 22621.2861Workstation doing the recording:Dell Precision Tower 3620 Intel(R) Core (TM) i7-6700 CPU @ 3.4Ghz, 40GB RAM, Win 11 Pro (22H2) OS build 22621.3007But, I've just connected with Remote Desktop to the HP from another laptop and the clocks are spot on!Then dropped the Remote desktop connection and the HP was then showing the correct times!!!!! Weird. Wonder if the HP HDMI video output is causing the delay.
@nickburt218 It seems that an Indian using Airtel ISP was sending non sense messages. He has been blocked.
But I still get the "once every 600 secs" notice:
